**Artist Showcase**
Ronnie James Dio (July 10, 1942 – May 16, 2010) was an American heavy metal vocalist and songwriter. He performed with Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Heaven & Hell, and his own band Dio. Other musical projects include the collective fundraiser Hear 'n Aid.
He was widely hailed as one of the most powerful singers in heavy metal, renowned for his consistently powerful voice and for popularizing the "devil's horns" hand gesture in metal culture.
He was collaborating on a project with former Black Sabbath bandmates Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Vinny Appice, under the moniker Heaven & Hell, whose first and only studio album, The Devil You Know, was released on April 28, 2009. He died of stomach cancer on May 16, 2010.

Tonight is a sad night. CBS has cancelled "The Ghost Whisperer", and tonight is both the season and series finale. Over the years I have come to admire Jennifer Love Hewitt's two most important attributes, which were critical to the series' success -- especially oonsidering she couldn't act.
I was almost as upset when CBS cancelled "Joan of Arcadia" which was the predecessor to this show. Hard times ahead.

Have to wait - went through the stress phase of the cardiac test this morning. Couldn't do the treadmill because my knee has been acting up again. Had the chemical version - have to wait til next week for the other phase before I get results. Saw the neurologist this afternoon for my shoulder - have to have a cervical spine MRI and some electrical tests before they can figure out what's wrong.
