Senate Democrats Pass Bill Allowing Govt to Collect Addresses, ATM Records of Bank Customers

Senate Democrats united to pass a financial regulatory bill that allows the government to collect data on any person operating in financial markets at any level, including the collection of personal transaction records from local banks, including customers’ addresses and ATM receipts.

The Senate voted 59-39 on Thursday to pass the bill – the chief aim of which is to more-heavily regulate the financial industry – sending it to a conference committee in the House of Representatives, where differences between the House and Senate versions will be ironed out.

The bill, if it becomes law, will create the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection and empower it to “gather information and activities of persons operating in consumer financial markets,” including the names and addresses of account holders, ATM and other transaction records, and the amount of money kept in each customer’s account.

Too obvious, Stash it in several places, and some of them not in your property. Never put all of your eggs in one basket.

Will they start with the Swiss bank accounts?????

There are still many safe Swiss Banks. They are "private" banks with extremely tight security for their clients. USB, because of their physical presence in the USA, essentially had no option but to release customer information.

This feels so much like the transformation of middle Europe into Nazi Germany.

He’s a M@sshole just like the rest of them.

Still, his election was a stick in Zero’s eye. But no one with any sense really believed he was some rock ribbed conservative!

These socialists have planned on getting rid of cash for decades - watch for that movement soon -

The Hellth care bill is another foot in the door for this - must have one ID so everyone can have "treatment" - easy to link it to a type of credit/atm card.

CA, county of San Bernardino is now offering their county employees the option of recieving their pay on a county-issued credit card. Right now it is optional....

How could you possibly have thought I was serious or literal about that?

Oops my bad you are right just four joining (my brain was thinking 69 voting for)

“Joining Grassley in support of the measure were 55 Democrats and Republican Sens. Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe of Maine and Scott Brown of Massachusetts. The 37 Republicans voting against the measure were joined by Democratic Sens. Maria Cantwell of Washington and Russ Feingold of Wisconsin, who said the bill is too weak to reign in Wall Street firms.

U.S. Sens. Robert Byrd, D-W.V., and Arlen Specter, D-Pa., did not vote.

The Senate did not vote on any amendments Thursday night — meaning that Sens. Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., and Carl Levin’s, D-Mich., strong version of the Volcker rule, barring proprietary trading at banks, will not be in the bill. The hard work of reconciling the House and Senate bills in conference committee starts soon.”

Including the 1099 requirements in the health bill, the occupation government now has full control over all the finances of individual Americans. This is authoritarian fascism at the worst. This will not resolve peacefully.

This needs to be removed from bill, too big brother. Wonder if it is even constitutional.

Zbigniew Brzezinski, an Obama advisor wrote

In his 1970 book Between Two Ages: America’s Role in the Technetronic Era:

“The technetronic era involves the gradual appearance of a more controlled society. Such a society would be dominated by an elite, unrestrained by traditional values.
Soon it will be possible to assert almost continuous surveillance over every citizen and maintain up-to-date complete files containing even the most personal information about the citizen.
These files will be subject to instantaneous retrieval by the authorities.”

Very creepy. Sure sounds like they are working on this.

I was thinking about this last night. What were the practical reasons for the occupation support of this? There next legislative action is going to be cap & trade. Obama has been spouting nonstop the global warming mantra. With the occupation government knowing everything you spend money on there will be records of utility and gas usage. Every American will have a paper trail for a global warming tax. This part of the "Banking Reform" bill is not going away. It is integral part of the occupations take over of the energy sector.

Just install cameras in our homes and be done with it.

It is already done in some homes. "Free" laptops from school with monitoring software and internal camera's in laptop. One school system has already been "caught".

Beck has been covering -- they are building something. Each bill advances the agenda with a piece of it. This seems like an illegal search. (I am not a lawyer).

Cap and trade is a global initiative. They are putting smart meters in homes so they know how much energy you use, They will know your medical records and now all financial transactions and credit card purchases.

At West Point Obama talked about seeking an international order.

He keeps talking about spread the wealth, now they will know exactly:
-- what assets you have and who has too much.
-- How much energy you use and who uses too much.
-- How much health care you consume and if you should have access to more.
