If the Republican candidates for President in 2012 were Newt Gingrich, Mike Huckabee, Sarah Palin, Ron Paul, and Mitt Romney who would you vote for?
If Newt Gingrich, press 1.
If Mike Huckabee, press 2.
If Sarah Palin, press 3.
If Ron Paul, press 4.
If Mitt Romney, press 5.
If youre undecided, press 6
Gingrich ........... 16%
Huckabee............ 18%
Palin............... 29%
Paul ................ 9%
Romney ............. 25%
Undecided............ 3%
Compared to April's survey:
Huckabee......... 17%
Palin............ 25%
Romney........... 44%
Undecided........ 14%
http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/pdf/PPP_Release_FLCO_311.pdf
April had no Gingrich or Paul as options
It would appear that Gingrich played the Grinch, and took most of his 16% share of the polls from Romney, while Palin got an increase of 4% mainly from the undecideds. Interesting dynamic right there. To beat Romney, we may have to encourage Gingrich to run. They seem to attract the same voters.

I’m tired of seeing pollsters replay the 2008 election.

If the Republican candidates for President in 2012 were Peter Cottontail, Uncle Wiggley, Alice in Wonderland, Mr. Toad, and the Madd Hatter, who would these polsters vote for?
We don't know who the field of candidates in 2012 are going to be, and I'm not fond of playing make believe, or taking out my little tea set and holding a tea party based on fiction.

Sorry, but all these idiotic 2012 horse race polls have one objective, to take our eyes off of the mid-terms, and to divide and concur.
People worrying about 2012 is RIDICULOUS. If we don't take back the House, and have SUBSTANTIAL gains in the Senate, 2012 won't matter a hill of beans. No one forget it.

How the deuce does looking at a poll take your focus off of anything?
Can’t multitask?

History in the GOP tell us that the credible candidates are pretty much known. The GOP usually nominates somebody from the last nomination process.

Possibly...
That’s the best we can say for now.
IMO< the current cast is going to change. All but one of these people are non-viable right now, and the last one is doing their damnedest to make it 100%. (IMO)

Cant multitask? You must remember all the 2000 horse race polls for the Democrat nomination in 1997. I sure don't. Why is that?
I'm sorry you're not either old enough, or politically aware enough to see a leftist scam - LOL.
BTW, why does a polling outfit that has only Democrats as customers, care about the 2012 Republican primary race some two and half years away?
To: SmokingJoe
If the Republican candidates for President in 2012 were Newt Gingrich, Mike Huckabee, Sarah Palin, Ron Paul, and Mitt Romney...What kind of lineup is that? The really sad thing is that she didn't get 100%.

Yuck, cant believe there are still supporters of Romney and Huckabee. Compare the two months - Huckabee's support is fairly solid at around 18%. Mitt, on the other hand, lost nearly half of his support as Paul and Gingrich were added to the list. Interesting.

“Why dont you tell people that 68% of liberals in the poll voted for Palin?”
One of the criticisms of Palin is that she can’t get a cross section of voters, she can only get conservatives.
This would be great news for Palin and the GOP, if that is correct.
