I’m guessing it wasn’t the family Prius she was driving either.

So what? Why should this woman’s name in particular be splashed all over the news? If it was the public official himself I could see it, but why someone who is not in public service?

What would the courts up there do, without the Kennedy’s to drum up business for them. Talk about jobs creation...
See what you can do to create jobs, if you just put your mind to it.

Mary Richardson Kennedy, 50, was arrested Saturday when police determined her blood alcohol level to be .011. The legal limit in New York state is .008.
Actually, the
legal limit in NY is .08. I imagine that her BAC was actually .11 which would be illegal in any state rather than .011 which would be legal.
Why can't they get the facts straight?

Westchester's Journal News reports that Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s wife has been charged with driving while intoxicated.
The paper also reports this:
According to Bedford police records, officers twice responded to the Kennedy home on South Bedford Road this month.
Last Thursday police received a 911 call from the home. Officers responded because the caller hung up before speaking to police. Dickan provided no details, but records show that officers arrived at the home at 9:16 p.m. and remained for 48 minutes. They left after filing a New York state domestic incident report.

Three days earlier, on May 10, police received a call from the home reporting a domestic dispute between the Kennedy children, Dickan said. No details were provided in that incident. But records show that officers remained for 1 hour and 17 minutes.
There were no reported arrests in either of the incidents.

Anyone who drinks alcohol has been DUI one time or another....it's just a matter of getting caught.
It does tend to run in the Kennedy family though.

.11 is less than 3 drinks in an average adult male, and might be even less that in an adult female. Hardly worth the adverse publicity, arrest record, court fines, add-on fees, rehab classes, license restriction and increased insurance premiums, which can add up to $10,000 or more over time (which goes into the pockets of local governments and legislative lobbyists). The lesson there is: Call a taxi instead!
