WASHINGTON The nation's most influential small business lobby is joining a court challenge to President Barack Obama's health care overhaul, arguing that Americans cannot be required under the Constitution to obtain insurance coverage.
The National Federation of Independent Business will announce Friday it is joining a federal lawsuit filed in Florida by 20 state attorneys general and governors, NFIB President Dan Danner said in an interview. All but one of the state officials are Republicans, and the case coincides with an election year.
NFIB's involvement ensures that constitutional arguments for overturning the health care law even if they fail to sway federal judges will be extensively aired in the fall campaigns. With 350,000 members, the group boasts a far-reaching network of local activists.
Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum, a leader of the legal challenge and a GOP candidate for governor, said he has "received a lot of strong response and reaction in support when I have spoken of this subject. I think voters as a whole are concerned."

and just like clockwork, Urkelbama will showcase some fictitious “small business leaders” the same way he rolled out “doctors” in front of everyone before the Obamacare vote.
Good news. The Federal government needs to get out of the healthcare business. IT IS the problem.
I received a corporate email yesterday stating big changes to our health packages will be in store next year. We have 120,000 employees worldwide. They said the complexity is going to take some time to understand.
Landrieu turned her back to the small business community regarding disaster care.
It will be the same doctors only they will be wearing business suits with matching flag pins
I should mention that my former doctor in that group was the only physician from Arizona to participate in the PR stunt with Zero in the Rose Garden....which is why she's now my former doctor.
And hubby's doctor just informed him that he's going to be a hospitalist only now and will no longer be in private practice.
The nightmare begins.

Hmmm.. Every single one of our docs has had nothing good to say about BarryCare. Several have said they’ll be retiring early. The rest seem very unhappy about it, to say the least.
there’s no way in hell can the federal Govt tell you to buy a product and then punish you if you don’t.
those supreme judges on the right had better go no where until this idiot goes away and then he can watch all of his doings be undone
nothing will give me great happiness than seeing phony bozo watch as the next president overturn everything he has done , infact everything and some
I do not know a doc including mine or when I was in hospital who said they want this health care run by the govt
Been a member for years. Tired of the way Obama has ignored us and the Chamber of Commerce (though I have had some issues with them).
Time to send a few bucks to the lobbying arm of the NFIB.
LOL. Yep. He’ll probably have them dressed up....carrying briefcases, some carrying hammers, some wearing hardhats, etc. This whole presidency is a production. A scam.
I asked, "If you prescribed a medicine to me and it harmed me, would your defense be, 'At least I prescribed something'?" He just looked at me. I think I pissed him off.
My community has been pressuring me to join the chamber of commerce. But they take many liberal positions. I will look into this NFIB.
"The purpose of this lawsuit is to reverse Supreme Court precedent related to the Commerce clause and thereby overturn Obamacare. The Supreme Court has historically erred in its interpretation of the Constitutional role of the Federal Government. Recent Supreme Court rulings hint that they may be willing to take another look at Commerce clause precedent. Obamacare is so over reaching and so onerous, that it must either be repealed in Congress or struck down in the courts. We must fight this on both fronts. This is our historic opportunity to reverse Americas trend toward Socialism by overturning this unconstitutional precedent.
If you are a US citizen and agree with the goal of this lawsuit, please join us. If you have concerns about joining, please review the FAQs for more information. Every person we add strengthens the voice of "We the People".
That's probably because to reliably left-wing AMA came out for Obamacare. Barf!
I agree completely. But we know that some idiot lower court judge somewhere will find that "constitutional," so we have to hope the Supreme Court does the right thing.
lol, good for you. We need a "Piss Off A Lib Day" in this country. Would do us all a world of good.
