Praising Arizona
Me

Posted on 05/13/2010 4:02:34 AM PDT by mazda77

While listening to Bill Bennett's show yesterday morning on my way to Orlando from JAX, he discussed starting a campaign of "Praising Arizona". The first thing that came to mind was all those who support their current moves could put a little state flag sticker on their raer window. I called the show and he has picked up the concept and commented on it a couple more times.

I did a search and came up with this: http://www.flagstickershop.com/arizona.html

This place is in Dawsonville, Georgia so I would think the conservative string is strong in this business considering they also sell Cofederate stuff as well.

I just ordered some of the oval decals and sent them to my son in Cincy. He was born at the Army hospital in Ft. Huachuca. Birth certificate says Sierra Vista.

Good Idea - thanks!
I’d like to get a bumper sticker saying “Praising Arizona - doing the job the feds won’t do.”

Having our monthly luncheon today, all the laided off people from our debt.,roughly 15 of us, plant closed 7 mo.’s ago to help the Obama admin. bail out GM.

We usually meet at a Mexican resturant who employ Hispanics only, it was decided a different resturant from now on due to the boycotts against Arizona.

If we win this battle, then other states will follow in our steps. We will win this battle.

All this crap about boycotts? What's a few suspect tourist dollars during a depression compared to the billions per year spent on subsidizing healthcare, food stamps, housing, education and of course dealing with the horrible crime spree of some 600K illegal immigrants?

Nothing is what the boycotts are.

However if we hold fast, other states will enact similar laws, channeling criminal activity to liberal sanctuary cities/states. Their economies will implode while public welfare spending and crime skyrocket.

Who will have the last laugh then? You'll be hearing it from the deserts, from the mountains and echoeing through the Grand Canyon. Eat spiney saguaro, lefties!

Now I am jealous! Being raised an Army brat, I never really had anyplace I could or wanted to call home until I was stationed at Ft. Huachuca. It was kind of a natural transition from my previous station of Tehran so the climate was just right. I now declare Arizona my adoptive home and long for the day I might retire and move back there.

I am more aware of that than you know. One of my favorite long weekend retreats was Canyon Lake. Part of the Salt River chain from lake Roosevelt, including Apache Lake and Saguaro Lake that feeds water to the Phoenix area. I remember when the road from Canyon Lake to Roosevelt was just a makeshift dirt road, then there was the little spot in the road called Tortilla Flat. They have turned it into a tourist trap.

Wow, yes you do...I don’t remember that road being dirt and I transplanted here 30 years ago. It’s paved now just past Tortilla Flat. Spend nearly every weekend up there boating.
