Arizona limits ethnic studies in public schools

(CNN) -- Fresh on the heels of a new immigration law that has led to calls to boycott her state, Arizona's governor has signed a bill banning ethnic studies classes that "promote resentment" of other racial groups.

Gov. Jan Brewer approved the measure without public statement Tuesday, according to state legislative records. The new law forbids elementary or secondary schools to teach classes that are "designed primarily for pupils of a particular ethnic group" and advocate "the overthrow of the United States government" or "resentment toward a race or class of people."

The bill was pushed by state school Superintendent Tom Horne, who has spent two years trying to get Tucson schools to drop a Mexican-American studies program he said teaches Latino students they are an oppressed minority. There was no immediate response from the Tucson Unified School District, the law's main target.

God bless Arizona...One victory at a time...we will push these socialist bastards back one victory at a time. Whether they like it or not.

"Six months later, when Navy Lieutenant Wilmer E. Gallaher turned the nose of his Dauntless Dive Bomber down towards the Akagi off Midway, the memory of that volcanic eruption in Pearl harbor, which he had witnessed, flashed through his mind. As the Akagi blew up, he exulted - Arizona, I Remember You"

Lieutenant Wilmer E. Gallaher would be proud...

Our legislature is not in session, and Perry won’t do much on his own.

About time.

I can’t stand that schools are teaching people to hate whites.

I can’t stand that schools are teaching minority hybris.

Gov Jan Brewer signs legislation that bans teaching racism or advocating government overthrow to elementary school children. And this is controversial.

Gov Brewer is showing herself to be a courageous leader, and one worthy of support and career advancement. Between her and Sheriff Joe Arpaio they're busy working to make Arizona a new beacon of American liberty. If Arizona can stay this course and finally rid itself of McInsane (go J.D.!) too, I think the state will be attracting a lot of new residents and businesses.

Sorry, but you’re ‘whacked’ if you think all ethnic studies DON’T teach racism. But, I think you really do know that. [:-)

I am so glad to see some American women like Brewer step forward with rational, conservative ideas.

Yep, pretty sad when we can't the men to step up. Most of what we have are a bunch of panty waists anyway.

1. I feel bad that you are forced to send your kid to a commie publik skool.

2. Fidel Castro is the son of European immigrants. As a matter of fact, the ONLY Cuban President "of color" was Fulgencio Batista, the man Fidel overthrown.

Brewer's the governor. She didn't write the bill, she just signed it. The state legislature wrote the bill.

Roughly 73% of the members are men.

Here’s something funny-I took 4 days off this week from work-a mini vacation. I scheduled the delivery of some furniture I bought last week for today. Had to be at home today between 9 and noon.

Anyway, I had the TV on, waiting, and channel surfed-Lo and behold-the View, talking about this very subject. I held my nose and watched these jackasses go on about this. Right after, they had some black actor on-mentioned he had been “married” to Whoopie Goldberg-in a movie (even so-shudder!the poor bastard had to kiss her) It was the Medgar Evers story-the civil rights activist who was killed in the South in the 1960s.

Anyway, the fat black loudmouth Sherry Sheppard was the one who brought it up-she kept saying “Medgar EVANS” about 5 times till the actor and Whoopie corrected her. What a dumbass.

Yep, and here’s Wikipedia on ol’ Che...

Ernesto Guevara was born to Celia de la Serna y Llosa and Ernesto Guevara Lynch on June 14, 1928[1] in Rosario, Argentina, the eldest of five children in a white Argentine family of Spanish, Basque and Irish descent.

Che was a spoiled white upper middle class douchebag who was dumb enough to think that he could organize the Injuns of Bolivia into a communist revolt. As someone who had traveled there in his youth, he should have known that the Injuns down there DON’T like taking orders from mestizos, let alone whites (especially those with Argie accents). Kudos to the redskins for turning the a-sclown into the authorities.

Listen, if they went with the truth 90% of American voters would be for it. How would Obama/the Democrats create the kind of fear needed to keep minorities on the plantation this November?
