On Kagan opposing military recruiters at Harvard Law: "She was right. ... All during that period, she has reached out to veterans in the law school, she has been at promotions ceremonies, she's recognized veterans coming to the law school. So this is not a single bit of anti-military bias. She does think, and I agree with her, that the don't-ask-don't-tell policy is a very bad policy."

If Joe Biden was a Republican (God forbid) he would be laughed out of Washington.

"Don't Ask Don't Tell" was put in place by Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama has passed up numerous opportunities to repeal it.

But I kind of get the idea that the Dems are blaming Bush for the whole thing and acting like all Democrats have been fighting the good fight to end it.

Having Obama/Biden in the White House is bad policy that breeds more bad policy.

Kagan was wrong.

This is a freedom and liberty issue.

Military recruiters have the right to be on college or even high school campuses for recruiting purposes. They should be able to set up booths on them and hand out literature to inform any possible or potential recruits about the military service. This is essential for maintaining our military posture without resorting to a military draft. This is why we have a completely voluntary military. Liberals just do not get it because they know it is the military that protects our freedoms and our liberties and that’s why liberals hate the military.

You are right. And, we need to remember that come November. The MSM and the leftists need to know that they were on the wrong side of history and that conservatives won’t take their abuse. Jackels like Biden, Pelosi, “0”, and Reid can spout anything they want without admonishment while Republicans and conservatives are beat to a pulp. NO MORE!

From someone who, even Obama, rolls his eyes when he talks about Biden's latest gaffe. Joe Biden fails to use his brain before he opens his mouth, a little too often.

So this is not a single bit of anti-military bias.

Yes it is, when you oppose the recruiting of new soldiers and officers, you starve off the future of our military.

How many of the veterans she met with had no choice in their military service?

Let’s face facts people. The left loathes the military and the expulsion of the military recruiters dates back to the 60’s when this was THE hot issue on campuses. Especially the oh so elite institutions like Hah-vahd. The feelings have persisted as the same sniveling whiners that were protesting in the 60s are now the academic in charge types making the rules. To them, the 60s weren’t that long ago.

Using the Don’t Ask/Don’t Tell has always been a fig leaf, an excuse to cover up the anti-military bias.

And the icing on the cake is that DADT was conceived of and put in place by the same RATS that use it as an excuse.

Nuff said.

Some ought to tell Joe the Idiot that we’re at war! Something as petty as don’t ask don’t tell shouldn’t stand in the way of the war effort.

DADT is the excuse - it’s not the reason.

Basically it’s the “I’d love to but I have a headache” in the national policy debate.
