“never heard of Cinco de mayo til the last decade or so”
__________________________________ Me too!
I grew up in a border town in TX. Plenty of mexicans. In fact, more mexicans than whites.
Anyway, I never heard of Cinco de mayo. No one celebrated it. And believe you me, our non-white neighbors used any excuse in the book to have a party and drink.
Schools never taught us about mexico’s history either. I do seem to remember Alamo history being taught.
What the heck has happened to our Country and to our schools?

BTW the locals are screaminng bloody murder about it making national news, they apparently don’t care much for the sunlight.

He apologizes but would do the exact same thing tomorrow! We need to get rid of forced, public schools under the threat of force if one does not send their children there. They are the exact place that controlling liberals like to work and....well....control!

“There is going to be violence in his school and he and whoever else has promoted this hatred of America is going to have blood on their hands.”
Bingo!
His apology has nothing to do with his underlying mindset, his bitterness over the fact that Mexico once claimed large parts of CA and a culture that embraces defeating the “melting pot” concept.
And then we get to the background music provided by the leftist drumbeat.

When the citizens of Mexico start paying the taxes that pay the salaries of these liberal MORONS....then, maybe they can display the flag of Mexico. Unless or until then.....
display the flag of the United States of America...ONLY. You know....the flag that represents the taxpayers that pay your very undeserved leftist salaries (at least....for the present).
I am wondering how displaying the Confederate Flag would go over, since all these liberals are so gung-ho about displaying flags of different “cultures”.
Point made?

lol.
Another racist principal who should be fired.
In Houston a boy was suspended for being upset that the school flew the MEXICAN flag and tried to take it down. It flew above the US flag on the pole, the US flag was upside down.

Last I heard, the students got dinged with unexcused absences. How about that? I think the students who wore the foreign flags need some kind of sanctions....

Cinco de Mayo is no more than a reason for bars & restaurants to serve watered-down margueritas and crappy tacos for happy hour.
I'll accept Cinco de Mayo as a legitimate holiday around the same time I celebrate Kwanzaa.

Funny thing about California history. As I understand it, locals rose up and siezed the spanish garrison.
According to wiki.
Although the United States declared war against Mexico on May 13, 1846, it took almost two months (until the middle of June, 1846) for definite word of war to get to California. American consul Thomas O. Larkin, stationed in Monterey, on hearing rumors of war tried to maintain the peace between the States and the small Mexican military garrison commanded by José Castro. U.S. Army captain John C. Frémont, with about sixty well-armed men, had entered California in December, 1845, and was slowly marching to Oregon when he received word that war between Mexico and the U.S. was imminent. So began his chapter of the war, the "Bear Flag Revolt."[30]
On June 15, 1846, some thirty settlers, mostly American citizens, staged a revolt and seized the small Mexican garrison in Sonoma. They raised the "Bear Flag" of the California Republic over Sonoma. The republic was in existence scarcely more than a week before the U.S. Army, led by Frémont, took over on June 23. The California state flag today is based on this original Bear Flag and still contains the words, "California Republic."

How sad this is.
My mother’s side of the family is of Mexican descent. My grandfather came from Mexico.....LEGALLY!
(I rarely admit that)
My mother and father refused to teach their kids spanish. Even though my mother spoke it fluently. She told us we live in America and are American. We speak English.
We celebrated the heck out of the Fourth of July, loved baseball, apple pie, and anything else American.
What is wrong with these people? Why move here if you can’t embrace and love this Country?
Mental disorder is right.

They should be.
Cinco is a holiday regarding a defeat OF French
not BY Americans
America offers a much better home and more freedom than Mexico
They should be happy and grateful to see American flags anytime of year.
Mexicans are oppressed by Mexicans, not us.
