Sarah Palin: Let’s shake it up in California! (Sarah endorses Carly Fiorina - Huh?)
Facebook ^ | Sarah Palin

Posted on 05/06/2010 12:29:51 PM PDT by FightforFreedomCA

I’d like to tell you about a Commonsense Conservative running for office in California this year. She grew up in a modest home with a school teacher dad, worked her way through several colleges, and then entered an arena where few women had tread. Through a combination of hard work, perseverance, and common sense, she proved the naysayers wrong to reach the top of her field, where she led with distinction – facing hard truths, making tough decisions, and showing real leadership through a rocky transition period. Where others had failed, her company had weathered the storm and settled on a stronger new foundation.

Her name is Carly Fiorina, and I’m proud to endorse her for U.S. Senate.

Carly is the Commonsense Conservative that California needs and our country could sure use in these trying times. Most importantly, she’s running for the right reasons. She has an understanding that is sorely lacking in D.C. She’s not a career politician. She’s a businesswoman who has run a major corporation. She knows how to really incentivize job creation. Her fiscal conservatism is rooted in real life experience. She knows that when government grows, the private sector shrinks under the burden of debt and deficits. We can trust Carly to do the right thing for America’s economy and to make the principled decisions she has throughout her professional career.

Please consider that Carly is the conservative who has the potential to beat California’s liberal senator, Barbara Boxer, in November. I’m a huge proponent of contested primaries, so I’m glad to see the contest in California’s GOP, but I support Carly as she fights through a tough primary against a liberal member of the GOP who seems to bear almost no difference to Boxer, one of the most leftwing members of the Senate. Carly needs our support in this crucial election year when we have a real chance of putting an end to the Pelosi/Reid “Big Government” agenda.

I hope you’ll join me in supporting Carly. Visit her website here, and follow her on Facebook and Twitter. Read up on her positions and plans to help get us on the right track.

California is still Reagan Country, and Carly promises her “Reagan Conservative” values will be put to good use for her state and for our great nation. Shaking it up in California is long overdue. Let’s help Carly do it!

Claims to be "pro-life," but effectively wouldn't do much, if anything, about it. The reasons are outlined here...

DeVore campaign response to CA Pro-Life Council Endorsement of Carly Fiorina

Its not 12 million, its 33 million, and if they can’t work they will be gone in a short time.

No amnesty, No green cards. We cannot survive an amnesty politically; might as well move to India or something.

“Now tell me, are you prepared to toss them all aside because they’ve endorsed a RINO?”

First of all, I’m not tossing Sarah Palin aside. Secondly, please narrow down your list to those that have endorsed two RINOs in the primaries. Then we’ll compare notes.

Then why did McCain send her out to pro choice groups during his campaign? Truth is she became pro life to campaign and knows like McCain does that Roe will not be overturned.

This again? Really.

Riordan was unelectable. He was a babbling fool loose cannon, as evident by his "Stupid dirty girl" comment

It was a piss-poor slate of candidates to choose from that year, between the loony RINO Riordan, the neophyte Bill Simon, and "boring as watching paint dry" Bill Jones.

Simon was the best of the lot and came about five percentage points of Davis (and could have won had he not been set up in the COPS debacle and having Gerald Parsky backstabbing him). Riordan would have never come anywhere close to Davis.

The Democrats almost slit their own throats with their primary tactic.

“California Pro-Life Council AND Sarah Palin skipped DeVore.

I don’t know why.”

.
Devore is not showing any name recognition or strength, so they’re in triage mode. Campbell has to be beaten.

She worked for it, Meg Whitman is the one who is closest to McCain and she is running for Governor and is NO conservative... Carly has been saying the right things that will help her defeat Boxer.

Your poll seems to be an outlier.

Yes, it didn't look quite right to me, although it is included in the polls list you posted.

Maybe you just discovered the true reason for Sarah’s endorsement. They knew that they needed us hardcore conservatives to get someone across who could remove Boxer. And Sarah is making me reconsider Carly. They have a point.

Just like women with hyphenated last names, be wary of any politician that needs two descriptors.

Whether a compassionate conservative or a commonsense conservative, they all have a common value. THEY ARE NOT A CONSERVATIVE.

Well, I’ve donated money to DeVore, but I would be happy to vote for Fiorina in the general.

C’mon, Laz, lemme see some more failboats!

Scott Brown is Pro Abortion!!! Carly is pro life.

So many band wagon jumpers here, I am embarrassed for all the people jumping off the Sarah band wagon. I say to them, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

This is a really, REALLY dumb move and makes me wonder about Sarah’s judgement, if she’s letting a personal connection cloud her views. Not only is Fiorina a RINO of McVain caliber, she also badly mismanaged HP, made it hemorrhage money and jobs with her dumb maneuvers. There is NO WAY I want this woman close to a seat of power in California.

DeVore is the only candidate that makes sense. Shame on you, Sarah.

Did you misunderstand my comment? I just meant that sometimes a RINO or CINO is the best we can do in a very blue state, wasn’t comparing her to him or jumping off any bandwagons. I’ll raise $2 million dollars for Sarah if she runs!!

Frankly, I haven’t, but then it’s always refreshing to watch people reveal their lack of comprehension skills.
