WASHINGTON The United States has 5,113 nuclear warheads in its stockpile and "several thousand" more retired warheads awaiting the junkpile, the Pentagon said Monday in an unprecedented accounting of a secretive arsenal born in the Cold War and now shrinking rapidly.
The Obama administration disclosed the size of its atomic stockpile going back to 1962 as part of a campaign to get other nuclear nations to be more forthcoming, and to improve its bargaining position against the prospect of a nuclear Iran.

Great find, ETL. It kind of ties all the Marxists together.
It sure explains Vanden Heuvel as well.
“The Nation magazine Katrina vanden Heuvel (who was formerly the director of the IPSs Transnational Institute).”
I wonder how many were on the White House guest list?
“M-O-O-N”, that spells, America WAKE UP!!!!
I can’t believe the idiocy of this man’s actions — and that’s the mildest way I can put my reaction to this.... It does NOT convey my fury at his ineptitude, and the risks he is placing our country in!!!
I don’t think I should say anymore — it wouldn’t be very family-friendly AT ALL.
Oh NOW they’re going to pull the “transparency” rhetoric out again??? GIVE ME A BREAK! They are only “transparent” when it comes to how hard they are trying to get us all killed!
Where is the DoD & Pentagon on this??? I have a hard time believing the Joint Chiefs of Staff were “totally cool” about this...
Treason??? Anyone with half a brain???
I appreciate Putin’s attempt to be manly, but he may wish to hit the gym a little more often. He’s a little “saggy”...
I honestly would have thought our total to have been higher. As a child I vaguely remember discussions about the number of weapons. I thought I remembered the number being much, much higher... Guess I’ll have to do some research because my memory of this is SO vague... I’m sure it had something to do with the Soviets and the Arms Race though...
Don’t the Chinese already have those? [I forgot what Clinton supposedly sold to the Chinese besides the general term; “Military Secrets”]
Where is Captain Kirk when you need him??? [Sorry - I know this isn’t a funny subject. I just can’t be angry anymore - I have to laugh, or I’d be crying...]
> OMG, thank you for that montage. I deliberately have stayed away from news about Obama, > so had no idea he bowed to other leaders so often. Wow! Just wow. *shakes head in utter disgust* Oh yeah ... When Obama gets on one of his kow-towing binges, NO ONE is safe ...
Mayors ...
Again ... all this might be funny, if it wasn't for the fact |
As always thank you so much for your research and information. I was just mentioning I remembered something from when I was a kid about things of this nature — and that would be the late 70s early-mid 80s... The exact timeline you’re talking about.
It might be helpful if next time you actually included a link, verity.
Here is a .pdf version of Obama’s Amendments to Classified National Security Information policies. Executive Order 13526 of December 29, 2009

No mention of exactly what he changed, and personally I don’t feel like comparing line by line.
I do notice in the very beginning that the Executive Order specifically mentions the CONSTITUTION as giving power to the President to make these orders. Funny how he only cares about it when it suits him. The fact that he was a British Citizen at birth and ineligible doesn’t matter I guess.
This is exactly why every Conservative who ridicules Birthers should take a VERY long, hard look in the mirror and decide — are you FOR the Constitution, or AGAINST it? It may indeed be the ONLY way we can repair some of the damage done (by him being declared ineligible according to the Constitution, and thereby making these decisions and actions null and void), and by no means will we (obviously) be able to repair all of the damage already done — like this announcement today.
That number makes more sense. Thanks for posting that.
