Why Congressional Republicans avoid the Obama Eligibility Issue
The Post & Email ^ | 5/2/2010 | John F. Sweeney

Posted on 05/02/2010 10:06:04 AM PDT by Menehune56

In discussions concerning the constitutional eligibility of Barrack Hussein Obama II for the office of President of the United States, many point out that if there were a real issue, the Republicans would have leveraged it in 2008 to retain control of the White House. But it was well-documented at the time, and additional documentation and analysis have established, that John McCain’s eligibility was in question as well. With that being the case, why would the Republicans nominate a candidate who might not be constitutionally eligible to serve in the office?

The answer may be a simple one – the 2008 race was going to the Democrats and the Republicans did not want a leading candidate for 2012 to lose or be roughed up during the campaign. So the solution – let the man who needed to win in 2008, if he was ever going to be president, run – even if he might not be constitutionally eligible. Was this a grand conspiracy by the Republican Party? No, it was just simple pragmatic political strategy.

Ugh. Not that fake piece of garbage, which McCain's campaign repudiated.

You birthers need to learn something: don't believe everything you see on the internet.

Did you say fake document? See post 158!!

Yes. It's not just a fake, it's a poorly made fake. Just because it's up on the internet doesn't make it authentic.

There's a reason why McCain denies its authenticity.

Well that must then be similar to your dear leader's, the illegal alien and the usurper's!

Just because one document is fake, doesn't mean another one is fake. Unlike the fake McCain BC, there is evidence to corrborate the Obama COLB.

Have you seen a REAL B.C. of John McCain??

No, but a Washington Post reporter did, and I have no reason to believe he's lying.

BTW, you didn't answer my question. Why are you so emotinally invested in this McCain-born-in-Colon story?

“Well Old and Tired maybe you need some B-12 shots for your pituitary gland & comprehension???

When I first flew to Singapore on my way to Australia, staying there three days, I was NOT at least astounded by finding people with funny eyes. And every-time since then when I would come back to Singapore, they were still there, funny isn't it, yet I am old but not tired!!!”

I guess you're limited thought processes don't recognize sarcasm, either. You're the one who posted to me making a big deal about all the Hispanics in Colon, as if that were somehow news to anyone with a brain. I was mocking that. See the notation of LOL.

I'm stunned it took you as long to find the Chin opinion as it did. Again, limited thought processes. I'll try and respond if I find some more time to waste, but I'm heading out on travel this morning.

And by the by, you might want to watch the casual “funny eyes” comment. Rightly or wrongly, most people will see it as broadcasting some uncomplimentary things about you.

But Indiana is not the US Supreme Court, and as I stated, the Supreme Court has already established that the definition in the law of Nations was the intended, and only possible definition.

American general elections are conducted on a state by state basis. If Indiana had invalidated Obama’s electoral college votes, it is highly likely that other states would have done the same thing, like dominos falling.

Even with a conservative majority, the current US Supreme Court has shown no interest in ruling on this issue, having already rejected hearing any of seven different Obama eligibility appeals: Berg v Obama, Craig v US et al., Donofrio v Wells, Herbert v Obama, Lightfoot v Bowen, Schneller v Cortes and Wrotnowski v Bysiewicz.
There is one more appeal pending on the Supreme Court’s 2010 “cert conference” docket: Beverly v FEC.

I agree.

There have been hundreds of failures to follow the law, leading up to Obama pretending to be president. It is that failing specifically that has made him more disastrous than McCain would have been.

No, but a Washington Post reporter did, and I have no reason to believe he's lying.

Was that a long form - or a COLB like the one of your dear leader's?

And of course we should not believe everything we read on the internet, does that includes you, while everything from your esteem-able compost is honest to God!

BTW, you didn't answer my question. Why are you so emotinally invested in this McCain-born-in-Colon story?

Where do get the thinking from that I am "emotinaly" (whatever that means?) in McPain born in Colon??

Since you refer to the almighty trustworthy Compost, where was he then born = location???

Was that a long form-

That's what the Post says.

And of course we should not believe everything we read on the internet, does that includes you, while everything from your esteem-able compost is honest to God!

No, but there is evidence to corroborate the Post's account. Namely, news of McCain's birth on the submarine base was published in the local military paper.

Then there's the fact that McCain's mother, along with every single member of his family attests to him being born on the base, and not in Colon.

Where do get the thinking from that I am "emotinaly" (whatever that means?) in McPain born in Colon??

Sorry for the typo. I meant to write that you seem emotionally invested in the proposition that he was born in Colon. Those pesky fingers don't allways do what I tell them! :)

Since you refer to the almighty trustworthy Compost, where was he then born = location???

Well, according to the reporter, his real birth certificate says he was born on the Coco Solo naval base in the canal zone. That information iscorroborated newspaper announcements mentioned above.

“And your birth certificate has been credibly tabbed as a forgery long ago.”

Question:

Are all of these notarized documents false or where have they been debunked???

Then after reading all this it also comes to to what Clarence Thomas said recently....EVASIVE on the issue, isn’t that the truth???

In your list of links, I saw only one image of a document, and that was the same fake Colon McCain birth certificate we've been talking about for a while.

And yes, it has been debunked.

I just came across the link below and the very last line caught my attention addressed to Mrs. Rogers!

So with your very short time as a Freeper and in the first three month you jumped on every eligibility threads you could lay your hands on as a total detractor and avid spammer, it entered my mind, could we be talking about OLD & TIRED such as mentioned in the link poster, nah???

However, your psychic “old-man” style fits perfectly in that template, and makes me and other Freepers very, VERY suspicious!!!

With their brain blood barrier as it may be, you just wonder if they all have had some sort of brain surgery like their dear leader. LOL???

The forgery was done to show just the opposite: that he was born in Colon, Panama, and not in a US Naval Base hospital.

However, Colon is also located within the Canal Zone and is, literally, a stone’s throw from the Coco Solo Sub station.

I was the one who pointed out that they were forgeries, and reported them on FR awhile back.
