Bud Selig would probably prefer to fly obliviously above the fray, but next year's All-Star Game at Chase Field has been thrust into the controversy over Arizona's new SB 1070 immigration law.

Because of the racial profiling aspects of the law, the Daily Kos has called for Selig to pull the Midsummer Classic and all of its associated revenue from the state.

So, too, has Change.org, which has created an online petition that will be sent to baseball executives and a Twitter hashtag #AZMLBB to focus the protest.

I could not find a way to register my “No” vote???? Only the results came up when I went to the sight. I wonder since the “No’s” were so overwhelming the clowns stopped the voting.

I voted “no” and left the following message: Not only should the All Star game not be moved, but The Super Bowl, NBA and NHL All Star games should be held in Arizona, and all such exhibitions in the future, to show respect and commitment to the rule of law.

I had to click ‘no’ twice. Wonder if it took both clicks, but it then displayed the “results”. Currently 35/65 yes/no. Nice result, but not good enough.

Funny. 65% say no and the poll is biased in that when you find it to vote on it, it is *Yes* by default.

You have to change it to *No*.

Just called the admin offices of our baseball team. Told them to stay out of politics, play baseball. I just one fan but if you get into politics I’m done with baseball. They lost me once with the strike and I finally came back to baseball. Won’t do it again.

Not sure my one call makes a difference but the person at the office actually seemed very receptive to the call.

If you call, be polite. I suggest you tell them simply to stay out of politics.

if they do this we should consider a move to block visas for baseball players. That’s not something I would even want to consider but this is total BS and if they cave in and start screwing up baseball for the sake of the illegal alien agenda it would become an appropriate response. Might at least make them think twice about pursuing this.
