So the dems don’t want us asking invaders for proof of citizenship, but want all citizens to have to show it.... again, what would they do if we can’t prove it? Just walk like they do now? This would be harrassment for citizens with no change in how they deal with illegals.

Will it be used for voting, too?

Why is it that liberals will claim that voter ID's are too much of a hardship for the poor, but this new ID is not?

The official US passport card available now.

The new wallet-size U.S. Passport Card is a travel document that can be used to enter the United States from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Bermuda at land border crossings or sea ports-of-entry. Note that it cannot be used for international air travel. The passport card is more convenient and less expensive than a passport book.

U.S. citizens, whether or not they have a passport book, may apply for a passport card. Note that passport cards cannot be shipped using overnight delivery. All passport cards will be returned using First Class Mail.

This is available NOW. It is proof of citizenship.

>>>Democratic leaders have proposed requiring every worker in the nation to carry a national identification card with biometric information, such as a fingerprint, within the next six years, according to a draft of the measure.

How ‘bout someone propose to tie this ID to being a requirement to register, and vote?

A worker ID card will do nothing for people working for cash, such as day-laborers and others. This card will also do nothing for drug smuggelers, murderers, narco terrorists and other assorted ner-do-wells.

We need boots on the ground.

So the “workers,” i.e. slaves of the Fed Reserve and private banking cartel, will be eventually micro-chipped since we know the biometric IDs will fail.

The few of us left working in private business AND actually paying federal taxes (since nearly half are excused from that “privilege”) will continue to be hounded and harassed, while the lazy slackers and criminals do whatever they want. Oh and steal our money whichever way they can.

It’s time to start a new country.

You can’t ask for federally documents from illegal aliens but you can force by law legally residing Americans to carry and show on request an ID card...THIS COUNTRY HAS GONE OFF A CLIFF!

I have two words for the Democrats “F Them.”

Make people who are on welfare, food stamps, social security, Sect 8 housing vouchers, medical care prove they are Americans. IF not - they get nothing.

Oh and Gloria Estefan - go to h*ll.

Care to speculate what information requirements on the card will be added down the road after the card becomes mandatory?

Gun ownership? Political affiliation? There is really no limit to what could be put on a chip. And no limit to the imagination of the fascists in DC.

GUARANTEE: 5 years after the card is in force, the personal data requirements for the card will be a very long list.

Remember, this was supposed to be part of Obamacare... You will need to present your Obamacare (TM) card to get care or to get a job (unless you are here illegally, are some sort of minority, or other “disadvantaged” group).

Wonder how far the money to start, administer, organize and implement this cock-a-mame scheme would go towards building a fence and protecting our borders?

National ID cards? Oh, let’s not stop there—how about a microchip embedded in every person? One that would set off an instant alarm in the govt ID office if you tried to dig it out. The Dems will bring this on slowly, talking about how it’s only voluntary, for infants and children to prevent kidnapping, and then for the elderly who have dementia and might wander away from home, and then there’d be a tax break for volunteering to have one inserted, and eventually there’d be a fine for NOT having one inserted, and finally we’d all be tagged like cattle going to slaughter.

Every worker in the nation will be issued a card, meaning every worker who goes along with this and obeys the law will get a card. Illegals who work in the USA and are paid under the table and do not pay taxes will not get a card, so it will be the same situation we have now (just like workers now have a Social Security card). The State of Arizona enforces immigration law but the US Government does not. Obama condones lawbreaking by allowing illegals to be in the USA without repercussion (and even wants to embrace the lawbreakers by granting them amnesty). He swore to uphold the Constitution of the United States, is he doing it? Whenever an illegal alien is allowed to stay in the USA and the US Government looks the other way and does not deport them, that is malfeasance, plain and simple.
