Six years after the state Supreme Court dismissed his $433 million lawsuit against the gun industry, Mayor Daley today called for a change of venue to the World Court normally reserved for disputes between nations and crimes against humanity.
Wrapping up the sixth annual Richard J. Daley Global Cities Forum, Daley convinced more than a dozen of his counterparts from around the world to approve a resolution urging "redress against the gun industry through the courts of the world" in The Hague.
"This is coming from international mayors. They're saying, 'Were tired of your guns, America. ... We don't want those anymore because guns kill and injure people,' " Daley told a news conference at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Daly, after being rebuked by his State Supreme Court, and then foreclosed by legislation signed and implemented during the Bush administration, wants to take his anti-gun lawsuit to the so-called World Court, The IJC.
This is horrible news for supporters of the 2nd Amendment, and even worse news for people who value the supremacy of the US Constitution. A US mayor, using a world judiciary body to punish American companies when American due process disallows it, it EXACTLY NOT what the Framers had in mind.

Do you suppose Mayor Daley believes that $100 bills create bribery?

What is the definition of treason. Did this asshat not swear an oath to the Illinois Constitution or is Chicago now an “international” city subject to the World Court. If so, why does any Chicagoan pay US taxes much less Illinois taxes? God I hate the scum that is Chicago.

"This is coming from international mayors. They're saying, 'Were tired of your guns, America. ... When I think of some third world hell hole with trucks full of armed people driving around, the first gun I think of is the AK-47.

Mexico City Mayor . . . "We should take actions with legal effects in order to stop this trade between the United States and Mexico."I have an idea. What if we built an enormous wall at the border to keep our guns in?

In this article, the Mayor of Philadelphia, I think, says that he has a First Amendment right not to be shot.
First Amendment right not to be shot?
Today a new low level for discourse was just created by this guy.
The Declaration of Independence says that life is an inalienable right.
The Fifth Amendment says that nobody should be deprived of life by the government without due process of law.
Why do major cities get the worst leadership sometimes?

I have seen Daly pull some real crap, but to try and usurp United States Sovereignty is the limit.
He should be removed in shackles.

He should be run out of America on a rail. No, he should be added to the list of traitors who should be tried and hanged or shot (their choice).

Like father. Like Son.
I guess Daley doesn't want anyone other than the government armed.
