This is a hot topic in South Florida

Boats from Haiti arrive off Broward County and Palm Beach County -

Expensive areas to live in for honest hard-working American citizens -

But Haitians have “immigrant groups”, “tax-exempt” foundations, and government subsized “immigration(???) attorneys” waiting for them -

They instantly get “WIC” for their illegal alien kids, go to Food Banks, illegally get into government housing -

Try that you native born “Whitey” or “Chocolate” Americans!

Think of the over 50% unemployment (right now) in Harlem or the Bronz for black or hispanic or Asian or ? American citizens or working age -

They must file a W4 and pay withholding and taxes

But 2 Illegal Aliens can be hired and paid off-the-books and go home to “Mommie” and 3-8 “Pepitos” how are getting Food Stamps, WIC, Welfare Income, “Free” Government housing, medical, dental, hospital, eyeglasses

Hoo pays for all that?

The average Illegal Alien couple with kiddie gets over $45,000 a year of freebies and pays:

It is impossible to believe with all the hispanics born in the USA living legally in Arid-Zona that a huge majority of honest hispanics there are for cracking down on invading criminals from any foreign nation or planet -

There are many hispanics in my south Texas area who are against illegals. Some speak out in the newspaper but probably many more keep silent.

It figures that the illegals are taking jobs from them and they resent it.

Only citizens of the United States are entitled to civil rights. I hope Obi eats crow on this one. I can see it now. The Federal government will hire 10 million investigators to flood Arizona to snoop on every clown captured and temporarily jailed for processing to be sent back across the border.

I was in Phoenix a few weeks ago. The amount of spanish signage is impossible to ignore.

We just moved out here from South Florida and are still in culture shock over how "White American" it is. It's like moving back to America from a foreign country. I hardly use Portuguese or Spanish anymore and half my family speaks Spanish. The influence must really take hold in South Phoenix. We sure don't see it North of the 101 much.

Our first sign of trouble was going into the local supermarket and asking where the yucca was. Try to buy Guarana and you'll get a blank stare. Still, the quality of people here is so much better than SoFlo, I'm ready to be part of America again.

Funny. My brother moved from Miami to DC because he and his ubber Liberal wife were "sick of feeling like they lived in a foreign country". My family gave Phoenix a shot in 95. It was changing on the west side back then, but there here still fairly defined boundaries. It just started getting too bad around Glendale so we moved back out in 96.

While there recently, we drove all over the west side and it was very depressing. Used to be everything north of Northern was good, with some bad spots south of it.

Sounds like you'd do better at the markets in Paradise Valley or Scottsdale.

Really? Bad in Glendale? I didn't see it North of Bell. We'd actually welcome some Latin culture, it wouldn't be so much of a culture shock. I'm thinking like you implied, it must be further South.

The people are so pleasant here, and some folks here seem surprised when I describe them so. I would not go back. There's an obvious degradation of culture hastened by the influx of the 3rd world, no matter if there are good folks among them or not.

Bell is substantially north of Northern. Northern WAS the dividing line back when we lived there. South of it just had spotty bad areas. We were shocked at how far North that "Latin culture" had spread now. I'm not talking about the occasional 'Pequeño Rancho' decor. It's the graffiti and 10 Chevy junkpile yard sculpture for blocks at a time.

But it's a bit of 'Perfect Storm'. The real estate meltdown has made a bad situation much worse. My hat's off to those folks that have hung in there and tried to keep their neighborhoods up though.
