His lawyer has called the case a prank, not a crime.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

A prank! Of course!

A prank..yeah that makes sense..Plastering people’s phone numbers so they can be harassed and threatened, yeah that is some kind of prank isn’t it. I wonder how liberals would have felt if someone had posted Michelle Obama’s phone number..have people call her and say “We are outside your house right now.” The media hardly talks about the fact that this guy is a liberal whose father is a big flaming lib..we all know why he did this, he was told to, look at him, he is a moron, no way did he come up with this on his own

And all those Leftist damaging protests are just pranks like breaking windows and beating up people ...

It was done with malicious intent — it was a crime, not a prank.

His lawyer has called the case a prank, not a crime.

G. Gordon Liddy declares Watergate to be just a prank. "We broke in to put buckets of water on their doors and turn their file drawers upside down."

His lawyer has called the case a prank, not a crime.

1. This article is from NPR (National Progressives Radio)

2. The kid admitted in exchanges on the web that he did it to "get the goods" on Palin

3. He described her in his website admin notes as a C___ just like the Netroots t-shirts. I am confident he did this trying to impress them, he is a hacker want-to-be.

4. He moched Palin in his notes saying that she "went to Church" and "had all those children"

5. He stated in his notes how much he liked Obama, almost as much as teletubbies.

6. There are reports that the kid has stability problems, that is very possible. I have seen evidence of his extreme immaturity.

...the hacking compromised one of the main ways she communicated with her family back in Alaska as she campaigned in 2008...

The hacking was another compromising of the credibility of Palin by the MSM.

They spent many news cycles describing the hacked emails, asking whether it was appropriate for Palin to conduct Alaska business using a private Yahoo email account, wondering whether compromising messages, would be found, commenting on how smart it was to have such a poor password on her email account, yada, yada, yada...

This wasn’t a prank. If he gets jail time, so be it.

Lots of apologist for the punk in the NPR comments.

The same people would scream bloody murder if someone did it to them.

Not a word concerning Kernell's affiliations or possible sponsors, nor what he intended to do with the improperly gained information.

Thats the FIRST place the media slime would go if it were Joe Biden that got hacked.

Not in a country of law.

50 years may be too steep but identity theft is a serious crime. It was no prank.

Throw the book at him. Maybe a few lefty loons might think twice before breaking the law.

If he gets the maximum 50 years, I will not shed one tear for this punk.

Sarah gave a press interview leaving the courthouse. At the end of the vid you can see she has lots of security. Nice.

I love Sarah as much as anybody!!!!

I think 50 years would be a bit harsh, BUT where is the remorse? Has the guy even apologized to Sarah? His lawyer seems to think the whole thing is a joke.

How bout the guy begs for mercy and shows some real remorse!!!
