It looks like Bill Clinton may finally have proof for his charge that the Tea Party movement has attracted domestic terrorists. Unfortunately the terrorist is a pal of President Barack Obama and is solidly on the liberal side of the political spectrum.
William Ayers, former Weather Underground terrorist and reputed ghost author for his Hyde Park, Chicago neighbor Barack Obama, spoke to a reporter from ABC affiliate KSFN last night in Fresno, California about how he "didn't quite know why the Tea Party folks are mad at him":
"I actually think that there are many things we would agree upon. Including skepticism of the government--which I'm very skeptical of. I think I'm more skeptical of corporate America than they are but never the less, yeah, I think that we probably share more than they imagine."
Speaking last week before the 15th anniversary of the Oklahoma City federal building bombing, Clinton tied the Tea Party movement to domestic terrorism:
" This tea party movement can be a healthy thing if they are making us justify every dollar of taxes we raise and every dollar of money weve spent, he said. But when you get mad, sometimes you end up producing the exact opposite result of what you say you are for.
What we learned from Oklahoma City is not that we should gag each other or that we should hold less passion for the positions we hold, but that our words really do matter. There is this vast echo chamber, and the words fall on the serious and delirious alike. Have at it. Go fight. Do whatever you want. You dont have to be nice. But be careful with what you say and do not advocate violence.
CBS affiliate KGPE reported that Ayers said last night the Weather Underground never killed anyone:
"We were not terrorist organization and that is because we never threatened to kill people, we never killed people -- we did destroy property and answered for those things."
That is a lie.
Read the remarks by Weather Underground FBI informer Larry Grathwohl for the murderous history of the Weather Underground:
"...The question we want answered is why terrorists close to him politically have escaped justice for the 1970 bombing of the Park Police Station in San Francisco. We believe the Department of Justice should make available all the evidence in this case to local authorities and law enforcement officials.
"I was in the Weather Underground as an informant/infiltrator for the FBI. I have testified, spoken, and written about the involvement of Weather Underground terrorist leaders Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn in that bombing. That bombing on February 16, 1970, took the life of Sergeant Brian V. McDonnell. There is no statute of limitations on murder."
"...One other historical fact that demands mention is the explosion of the Weatherman bomb factory in Greenwich Village in February of 1970. The bombs being built for use at an Army dance at the Ft. Dix Army Base on a Saturday night contained roofing nails for the shrapnel effect, and if the bombs hadnt prematurely detonated, killing three Weathermen, the effect would have been devastating.
In January 2001 as part of his going out of business pardon spree at the end of his term, the disgraced President Clinton commuted the sentences of two Weather Underground terrorists, Linda Sue Evans and Susan Rosenberg.
From ABC News:
One former member of the Weather Underground, Linda Sue Evans, was in 1985 sentenced to five years in prison carrying a gun and for harboring a fugitive -- Marilyn Buck, who drove the getaway car during the Black Liberation Army's notorious Brink's armored car robbery in Nanuet, NY, where a Brink's guard and two police officers were killed. Evans was then tried for previous crimes. She got five years for conspiring to bomb the U.S. Capitol in 1983, since she had helped forge IDs for others involving in the bombing. She also was sentenced to 30 years on gun charges -- for using false identification to buy three rifles, a pistol, and ammo.
Evans served 16 years, but in January 2001 her sentence was commuted by then-President Bill Clinton.
Another former member, Susan Rosenberg was in 1984 caught in possession of 740 pounds of dynamite intended for use in terrorist attacks. She was sentenced to 58 years in prison. Rosenberg was also allegedly involved in the Brink's robbery.
In 2001, then-President Bill Clinton commuted her sentence, freeing her, in an action widely covered at the time as a pardon.
Better put some ice on that, Mr. President.
(good work kristinn)
I had the same thought about the title-Kristinn is getting downright radical in his approach to attracting readers. I love that in a man! hee hee
ahhhhhhhhhh....that is way cute! Love it! Wish some big print venues would put that pic on their front page. Kinda says it all!
“Casual relationship with Pres. Obama” ??

Dohrn became one of the leaders of the Revolutionary Youth Movement (RYM), a radical wing of Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), in the late 1960s. The ninth annual national SDS conference was held in Chicago in June 18-22, 1969, and the SDS collapsed in a Revolutionary Youth Movement-led upheaval.
Dohrn led the Weatherman faction in the SDS fight and continued to be a leader afterward.
In July 1969, Dohrn, Eleanor Raskin, Dianne Donghi, Peter Clapp, David Millstone and Diana Oughton, all representing “Weatherman”, as Dohrn’s faction was now called, traveled to Cuba and met with representatives of the North Vietnamese and Cuban governments.
Controversial statement about Tate-LaBianca murders
Dohrn was criticized for comments she made about the murders of actress Sharon Tate and retail store owners Leno and Rosemary LaBianca by the Charles Manson clan. In a speech during the December 1969 “War Council” meeting organized by the Weathermen, attended by about 400 people in Flint, Michigan, she said about Tate (who was 8 months pregnant at the time of her murder) “Dig it! First they killed those pigs and then they put a fork in pig Tate’s belly. Wild!” She said of the LaBiancas (who were repeatedly stabbed): “Offing those rich pigs with their own forks and knives, and then eating a meal in the same room, far out! The Weathermen dig Charles Manson!”
“The Weathermen dig Manson” WOW love insane Murdrers.
In 2007 She spoke at a REUNION of the SDS
Actually, with the
“people are pollution” crowd,
that little crum cruncher might as well be wearing a bomb belt.
You're silly!
Kristin, I’m in love with you!
Great story, perfect narrative.
That’s “thilly”.
fixed.
Thank you Jim and Kristinn. Hopefully the wheels are coming off this train.
better put some ice on that.
Bill Clinton abhors violence.
Better put some ice on that.
My ctrl-C didn't work.... but it looked right in my mind... honest.
Uh-oh. Since anyone critical of the government is a “hater” and potential terrorist, Billy Boy should watch out for himself.
I think Morris said enough to cause him to zip his lips...proverbial shot over the bow...
Please.
I’m already cornfused enough.
Well done Kristinn. I hope this goes viral.

Liberals and the Violence Card [LIMBAUGH: A love of what America stands for]
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703876404575199743566950622.html
The latest liberal meme is to equate skepticism of the Obama administration with a tendency toward violence. That takes me back 15 years ago to the time President Bill Clinton accused “loud and angry voices” on the airwaves (i.e., radio talk-show hosts like me) of having incited Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh. What self-serving nonsense. Liberals are perfectly comfortable with antigovernment protest when they’re not in power.
From the halls of the Ivy League to the halls of Congress, from the antiwar protests during the Vietnam War and the war in Iraq to the anticapitalist protests during International Monetary Fund and World Bank meetings, we’re used to seeing leftist malcontents take to the streets. Sometimes they’re violent, breaking shop windows with bricks and throwing rocks at police. Sometimes there are arrests. Not all leftists are violent, of course. But most are angry. It’s in their DNA. They view the culture as corrupt and capitalism as unjust.

“It seems that the character assassination and slander of Bill Ayers and other people who have known Obama is not about to let up. While an important concern is the dishonesty of this campaign and the slanderous McCarthyism they are using to attack Obama ...” [snip]
[Belongs on every Ayers thread and possibly every leftist college related thread. Kept handy in my profile.]
