Retired Army general: Lt. Col. Lakin has 'valid point'

A retired Army general and national security policy expert says Lt. Col. Terry Lakin has "a valid point" and should use his "right to discovery" to force the Obama administration to produce proof of his natural-born citizenship status.

In an interview with Evil Conservative Radio, Maj. Gen. Paul Vallely said, "I think many in the military – and many out of the military – question the natural-birth status of Barack Obama. … I'm not convinced that he is [a natural-born citizen]."

Vallely, CEO of Stand Up America U.S., graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and was commissioned in the Army in 1961, serving 32 years.

He said he inspected his own long-form birth certificate, and it contains a doctor's name, date and location of birth.

"But he's never been able to produce that," he said of Obama. "His unwillingness to do it also concerns me. I think Lt. Col. Lakin has a valid point. … He refuses to produce a birth certificate that states the witnessing of the birth, the date and who is the doctor. We don't know why he won't come out with that."

If it was genuine his COLB actually would be enough to tell us all we want to know. Because if it was genuine it would have note of an amendment made in 2006 to complete the birth certificate, since Obama was not in Hawaii to be examined within 30 days of birth by a Hawaii doctor who would complete the certificate for him.

I’m almost positive that Obama’s birth certificate was not complete until 2006.

But for any legal decision to be made - according to Hawaii Revised Statute 338-17 - the original BC and all the supporting documents have to be viewed. So even though the COLB would tell us that the claim of a Hawaii birth is suspect, the original and other documents (the vital records - plural - that Fukino referred to) would have to be seen as well in order for a legal determination to be made.

"I heard Medved the other day yelling at one of us birthers, saying there is no where in the Constitution that says you have to be born of two citizen parents."

He's a total moron on the issue, clearly demonstrating that he has no clue as to the historical record on the term. It's there for anyone who cares to look and learn.

I don't understand.

First factual statement you've made.

Where's the seal, Bunky?

Who you gonna believe, the bureaucrats in Hawaii or your own lyin' eyes.

That's the document that Soros' man, Obama, released to the Soros funded Daily Kos, but then you don't believe in conspiracies, do you?

The strictures you place in your citations would have disqualified both McCain and Obama from their candidacies. It would seem to me that you should look at English common law and not the French philosophes for our definition. I believe Blackstone’s definition of ‘natural born subject’ was probably more what the founders had in mind. Great Britain of that age was a world-wide empire. Like McCain’s father, they had citizens on foreign lands having children..some by local inhabitants, some with wives from the home country they had taken along. It was necessary to define who held the full rights of British citizenship and who did not.

I never suggested Obama wasn’t born in Hawaii.

The odds are he was.

Now about them all lyin’ — some are lying, some are in denial, some are scared sh!tless, and some are on the payroll, and there’s probably a bunch that just don’t care — that pretty much takes care of most of them.

They’re doing worse than that, but that’s a story that’s not quite ready to be told yet.

Although we do already know that Factcheck - a supposedly independent media entity - was in on the forgery of Obama’s COLB.

I did, thanks

It looks like the ONLY way Odumbo could even be a citizen is if he applied for US citizenship by age 18 IF the scenario of being born in Hi and then being adopted by Lolo is true.

We have no way of knowing if he did this or if he in fact traveled on an Indonesian passport in 81.
But that is just citizenship, NOT natural born.

I can’t believe everyone has ignored the natural born issue.

Is there any way he could be denied the right to a federal appeal?

My son just got a copy of his a few months ago to enter the military.....raised seal, watermarked, and gold banded.

Hmmmm, when did they use African for a race? African is not a race. I bet those white folks born in South Africa are shocked that African has now become a race.

Riiiight, the Founders risked everything so the son of a Brit could one day become POTUS.

How ridiculous is that?

Here is the official document from the United States Government, Center for Disease Control that describes the form, contents and valid data for birth certificate in 1961.

Chapter 5 is the key chapter.

Page 231 describes the valid entries for race.

And no, “African” isn’t there. The proper term is “Negro” — a word no self-respecting progressive liberal could ever use in speeach or letters.

Like renewing your passport to travel to Indonesia and Pakistan? Not saying he did, this is just conjecture. IF he did, that would reaffirm his citizenship to Indonesia.

No, because Blackstone’s original definition would have excluded someone who had divided loyalties. That was the whole point. Natural born is citizenship by birth through the parents...regardless of where the birth takes place. Native born just describes the place. Of course Blackstone didn’t live in a Republic so he used the term ‘subject’ not citizen.

Oh golly. I’m quivering with fear!!!!!!!!!!!

Location: Honolulu

According to Hawaii, an amended birth certificate will list the foreign birthplace if they don’t have verification it was in Hawaii.
