Groundswell of Support Growing for Anti-Obama Rally
Israel National News ^ | April 22, 2010 | Hana Levi Julian

A groundswell of support is building in anticipation of the upcoming anti-Obama demonstration set for this coming Sunday, April 25, in New York City, outside the Israel Consulate. According to organizer Beth Gilinsky, head of the Jewish Action Alliance, groups are still calling to express their support and register for the event.

More than 21 Jewish and other organizations have already signed on to the event.

Thousands are expected to attend the rally, which Gilinsky said will give voice to the increasing disillusionment with the president that Jews and others have expressed, including many who voted Obama into office.

“The large crowd expected to attend on Sunday is coming to speak Truth to Power,” she added. “We will not be silent.”

For more information about Sunday's rally, contact Ronn Torossian in New York at 212-995-5585. (IsraelNationalNews.com)

Let’s not start with the fearmongering. We used to get this on the thread of every rally we planned. The old freepers should know better. The NYPD will have us covered. And if there are anti-Zionist protesters, they will be behind barricades as well and a safe distance away.

To all the liberal Jewish voters who wanted to be "trendy" and voted for this marxist...

Ouch, that's definitely gonna leave a mark.

I am not fear-mongering, just doing the usual granny-type worrying. I will still be praying for a peaceful demonstration, and for the safety of all, including the NYPD.

It is those so-called “amish” I worry about the most.

“It is too bad American Jews didn’t figure this out BEFORE they voted for the anointed one....”

Heh, there are those of us that didn’t vote for Zero!! Please don’t lump my family in with those dummies! We saw him for what he is from the beginning.
Thank G-d that “the other 78%” is finally starting to wake up!

The foo sh*ts nowhere here. There are plenty of conservative Jewish freepers, who’ve supported Republicans and been members longer then you. These anti-JOOOOZ posts are designed to divide, nothing more.

I don’t mean to divide any FReepers, but what was it - 85% of American Jews voted (and contributed) to Obama - knowing he’s a “Hussein” and after hearing him refer to “his Muslim Relgion?’

Lots of the young Jew have been conservative for long time and they are trying to convert the older Jews to our side. So the young one know Democrats have not been with them for long time. Now maybe the older Jews will get it.

While nearly 80% of Jews did vote for Obama, it must be remembered that we are only about 2% of the US population.

In fairness and accuracy, one would have to say that the other 98% of the US population that voted for him, had a lot to do with it, too.

Most Jews did not know Obama was a socialist/ communist, or an anti-semite. They did not want to see it- it was just too unbelievabl, and horrible a thought. The US, regardless of the home-grown anti-semitism that exists, has been a safe and wonderful place. Precious few among us could ever imagine that such an evil person could ever get into office. Among us, there is a deep love, and abiding faith in the American people, and the Constitution. Therefore, no one could imagine such a thing.

As for the ones who still support him....Well, just as other US population groups have their nutbuckets, sadly, so do we.

You are correct. I should not lump everyone together. I am sure there are Jewish people who DID see Obama for who he is, but unfortunately, that was the minority.

I am actually very glad that they are seeing that Obama is no friend of Israel. I am sick to my stomach when I see, hear or read how Obama has treated Netanyahu.

Better late than never.

Before there was an Israel, there was an Egypt and a Jordan.

So where did this notion of a Palestine come from? And why do they lay claim to the same land from which Israel was formed?

Palestinians can assimilate into their original Countries of Egypt or Jordan.

You seem to be forgetting that the Romans were in charge. Either that or you don’t know anything about politics. The Romans had the power and therefore they had many suckups among the Jews for various reasons. Easy to organize things the way you want them to go under those circumstances.

Not unlike the way GWB did - how else do you think a socialist who may or may not even be a US Citizen became President? Pay attention to the pendulum swinging back and forth, going further and further to extremes each time. I’m not convinced either “side” is better than the other, not when the best the GOP could do was McCain in ‘08.

Received in my email two days ago:

Subject: An astute observer, I believe.......

Some people have the vocabulary to sum up things in a way you can understand them.

This quote came from the Czech Republic. Someone over there has it figured out. We have a lot of work to do.

“The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president."

"The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.”

Stupid liberal Catholics, stupid liberal evangelicals and stupid liberal Mormons are just as stupid as liberal Jews. I hope they all have a “road to Damascus” moment and realize that:

1) liberalism is stupid.

2) Hitler did not have your interest at heart

3) Neither did Stalin

4) You liberals need to join the party to freedom, and it sure ain’t the democrat party.
