JERUSALEM – The Obama administration pledged to the Palestinian Authority it will secure an extension of a freeze on Jewish construction in the West Bank and a de facto freeze in eastern Jerusalem, a top PA leader told WND.
Under intense U.S. pressure, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in November announced a 10-month halt to all Jewish construction in the West Bank in an attempt to jumpstart talks aimed at creating a PA-led state. Netanyahu had publicly claimed the settlement moratorium was temporary and that new construction would resume after the freeze expires in September.
The Obama administration is also demanding a total halt to all Jewish construction in eastern Jerusalem as a precondition to jumpstart talks. Netanyahu has refused an official freeze, but almost no new Jewish construction in eastern Jerusalem has been approved since last month.
A top PA leader told WND in a phone interview today that Obama administration officials told him they are confident Netanyahu will extend the construction freeze to the West Bank as well as the de facto freeze in eastern Jerusalem beyond the agreed-upon time limits.

Imagine your worst nightmare for Israel and then realize zero is totally capable of doing it. That is why Bibi is treading very carefully. A lot of people are going to die because of Obama.
Lets look at the concept of promise from a politician such as Obama - - an oath a vow. I promise to hold up the US Constitution... Really Mr. O you promised this and you took a solemn oath and swore on Lincoln’s Bible. yet you broke this promise so many times in the US
Lets look at the concept of promise of a Muslim, such as Obama.
In An-Nahl, God forbids Muslims to break their promises after the confirmed them to Allah.
In the Hadith, Momahammed the Prophet states that a muslim who made a promise and saw a better thing to do, should do the better thing and then make an atonement for breaking the promise. (Is this how Obama operates he sees a better thing to do and he breaks his promises)
lets look a Judaism, as Obama claims he is friend of the Jews and Israel, I mean they voted for him as democRats in large numbers, and he promised that he would be their friend.
An Aschmachta is a conditional commitment or promise that a person makes, but has no actually has no intention of keeping. The commitment is not considered binding and the commitment is null and void.
By what right does the US have to state that Israel will not build in Jerusalem.
For that matter, O cannot tell me to buy health care insurance because he promises it will lower cost and yet it will expand cost, so essence Obama has broken the Aschmachta and the hadith in regards to the words he has spoken. he states that Words Matter. Will then his promises should matter too. But we know that his promises are conditional - get me elected and I will change the world into the way I want - everyone is miserable just like me, because everyone desrves the same treatment I received by my mother, my daddy, my gramps and my white grandma. There is something wrong when 0bama is more concerned with Jews building homes in Jerusalem than Radical Muslims building nuclear weapons in Iran.
