Politico ^

Posted on 04/19/2010 5:55:23 AM PDT by Blue Turtle

Via Political Carnival and Crooks & Liars, we learn that Comcast has announced a new venture with RightNetwork, "an independently-owned media company" whose mission is "to entertain, engage, and enlighten Americans who are looking for content that reflects and reinforces their perspective and worldview. RIGHTNETWORK will consistently impact the political and cultural discussions of Americans" (it is set to launch this summer).

I wonder, if it looked like Comcast was about to purchase, say, NBC, would Politico have posted the headline: “Report: Comcast to acquire LEFT-wing network”?

“to entertain, engage, and enlighten Americans”

Isn’t that a Glenn Beck tag line ?

Comcast sees $ signs in the Tea Party movement. That’s all. They may also be hedging against their involvement in MSNBC.

I distrust glowing reports of takeovers of conservative media. Who owns “Rightnetwork” what is it, and what do they do ? Where does “Comcast” fit in ?

Which is a miserable left wing failure like Err America.

There's a huge movement toward the right that can be tapped right now (and I hope it reaches universal proportions). Rush made talk radio, because radio was the only place real America had a voice. Maybe this will open up television to the millions of Americans who don't have a voice on the TV networks.

Kelsey Grammar is involved in this network, says Drudge. I’m sure it’s not a news network aka FOX, but all the better for more outlets like this, FOX, Breitbart, etc. Strength in numbers.

I can’t help thinking about when the left diguises themselves as us to fight us from within (like at the tea parties). Could this just be a way to get us to listen to what they want us to hear. With the elections close at hand, I can’t help thinking the worst.

Anyone with any discernment at all will not be fooled.

However, you DO see a lot of “Christians” embracing the Emergent Church movement which embraces pagan spiritualism.

Some mainline, very popular folks, too.

The Right Anthem promo video said "new voices".

They apparently want 'refreshing' not 'rehashing'.

Any expansion of conservative media should be welcomed. I’m just saying Comcast is looking at the dollar signs instead of the message. Possibly to counter MSNBC ownership doldrums...

The Republicans have let the left define us for generations. The more right wing news, or other outlets there are, the better. This way we define ourselves, and people will approve. This must scare the heck out of the left wing socialists.

In my opinion, the left wing powers, i.e., Soros, planned the housing crash (Soros is an oil speculator. Gas rose to $4 per gal. and emptied peoples wallets - especially for those people who shouldn't have bought houses in the first place - another left wing set up) just in time for the elections. They thought they would get away with a complete socialist take over, because political correctness had people too afraid to voice their opposition to any of Obomas radical policies (racism). Luckily for America, there were unintended consequences, and the American people one again found their voice. They're actually fighting back, and it's great.

Here is a link to a leftist website that did some “research” into the network.

Just given the fact that they are leftists means that everything needs to be taken with, if not a grain of salt then a gigantic salt lick, but here is teh website regardless...

http://crooksandliars.com/karoli/rightnetworks-funders-look-behind-curtain

If this can be believed then it appears that mostly Rino republicans are behind this. Is that actually the case? If it is, what will be the agenda of the network?

Dont get me wrong, this is the kind of thing I think needs to be done. Im just concerned with WHO is doing it. Being that Newt may be involved, would this network have supported scuzzfavva? I think this is a legitimate question.

Right idea, possibly the wrong people implementing it. However, Im interested enough to give it a chance, and wonder if it would be possible to turn it to our own agenda?

Exactly. Lets just say I'm familiar with them.
