Picture me on the Eurostar, in Brussels, Belgium. The year is 2004. Theres a veil-wearing lady sitting behind me with her friend. Like most women of a certain age, theyre chattering their heads off. Later, however, the loud conversation takes a sharp turn, when the Muslim lady pontificates about the superiority of Islam and the evils of paganism. But, if I had been sharing my Protestant beliefs?
From a theological perspective, theres nothing wrong with Muslims or Christians peacefully evangelizing. I am a friend of free speech. But the subject of clothing politics (for want of a better term) is more complex. Why? Well, for starters, theres a world of difference between a lady sharing her faith and wearing it in public. Are identity-covering clothes from the full-face niqab to the burka signs of oppression or freedom?

Nice.
Oppression
Spring Break Clubs ought to have Wet Burkha Contests!
And I happen to like wearing my Richard Nixon mask when I go to the bank... < /sarcasm>
Great read.
In my view, the burka is nothing but the Mohammedan’s version of the KKK’s white hood. It represents a political symbol of Muslim supremacy. (Or at least they think it does...)
How about someone who wanted to wear a white burka with a pointed dunce cap!
No, they would consider that a holdup. Put an Obama mask on.
cultural jihad bump
Islam was designed to be incompatible with Christianity in order to create identity and force conformity in the long run.
The only survivors must be prepared to be as personally, individually and autonomously as vicious as they are.

Good point.
Sure it is.
The Burqini
I guess since it is acceptable to dress up lie a tent with eye holes can I claim discrimination if I dress up as a Ninja? It would be soooooo cool to go grocery shopping as a Ninja, I bet the clerk will even take my coupons and double them even if it ain't double coupon day.
I was thinking of making a bumper sticker with a picture of a Ninja's head with the caption " Only Ninjas should look like this!"

To me it is just as offensive as a Swastika Arm Band, or a white KKK hood and uniform. Cultural sensitivity my ass, it is cultural appeasement of the most dangerous kind. We live in a country where women are their own property like any other sentient human of legal age. We should NEVER tolerate a culture which by definition is intolerant of INHERENT HUMAN RIGHTS.
I would say neither. It's an in-your-face political gesture, a middle finger directed at the infidels.
I thought the pic was a cracker.
Yes, oppression, or Allahs will, as some call it.
Ha. Ha. Thats very funny. Good one.
