Here is video of President Obama today at a news conference closing his "Nuclear Security Summit," where he made the odd statement that "whether we like it or not, we (United States) remain a dominant military superpower, and when conflicts break out, we get pulled into it."
Whether we like it or not?
Does that mean President Obama does not like America being a "dominant military superpower?"
India and Russia had better be making comprehensive defensive war plans right now.
The Dragon is coming.
Why wouldn’t we like being a military superpower?
Oh wait. I forgot. Obammie the Commie was put in power by those who despise America and think it is “justice” if we destroy the prosperity and freedom of America and Americans (except, of course, for the personal wealth of each who voted for him).
Remember, folks. Economic justice, according to the lib, is making some one ELSE pay for the sins of America’s past.
Barack? I don’t like you.
I have to say I agree with your interpretation. That's what it struck me as. No reason to try to stretch to come up with treasonous interpretations for everything he says.
It is amazing. They are completely clueless, and uninformed of history and of human nature.
It’s nearly a treasonous statement.
I’d love to know who is the 1st “we” that he referred to?
exactly
I thought that was what he said. I was hoping I misunderstood. WTH???? He doesn’t WANT us to be a superpower.
FUBO
He just used them as props at Elmendorf and Osan AB. This guy has got to go.
He said what he said. I don’t think he wants the US to be a superpower. It isn’t fair to the rest of the world.
FUBO
We LOVE America... we do not like you obama.
LLS
It was a short dodge; hardly time to do anything; seemed more like a message and a test. But ‘who knows’ certainly not the Press.
Yes; and a moment when his mask fell away. . .

A Landslide Mandate For Change
A breakthrough election
Congratulations on an extraordinary history making election!
We can think back with pride to decades of hard work toward our strategic goal of a big enough, broad enough and united enough labor and all-peoples movement that could overcome the ultra-right blockage to all progress. That all peoples movement has come to life, it is dynamic and it has the potential to keep growing.
The election of Barack Obama and a strengthened Congress creates new conditions in our country. There is now the possibility to shift gears and move forward. This new day requires us to further develop our tactics in order to continue to deepen and broaden labor and peoples unity.
There are thousands of experiences that we all have had in these momentous days, some large, some small, all of which express the enormity of change in thinking and readiness for involvement that is underway and that steels us for the battles ahead.
The tears of joy we all shared as crowds gathered to watch the election results here and throughout the world dramatize the new moment we are in.

Many here say the first phrase modifies the next one, and you are saying he skips that phrase and modifies the following one. You are kind to offer him the benefit of the doubt. But after seeing the guy in action for a while now, it’s pretty hard to extend that doubt. strong national defense, rugged individualism, free market capitalism, representative democracy, etc. he’s really not in favor of too much that we built up these last few hundred years. So...it really is a flip of the coin which phrase “whether we like it or not” modifies. Sad.
