President Obama Sunday seemed to shrug off the brouhaha after he broke with White House tradition and ditched his press pool earlier this weekend to watch one of his daughter’s soccer games.
Prior to Obama’s bilateral meeting with Pakistan Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, Obama told his colleague, “apparently I caused quite a problem," , adding something about his secretary not telling the Secret Service, according to, ironically enough, the pool report.

Yes, you have but it has absolutely nothing to do with ditching the pool reporters.
Anyone remember that almost-totally-forgettable movie with Kevin Kline called Dave, where Kline’s character is a doppleganger for the president, and stands in for the president at press-meetings and whatnot so the president can have liasons with his mistress(es)? Obastard’s behaviour sounds sorta fishy in that context.
Who is the “colleague” Obama is talking to?
Notice how he cannot even once take responsibility for his own f’ups ? Some secretary did it ! Or didn’t do it.
I know I am going to GET IT for this, but I cannot hold it against any father who goes to extraordinary lengths to take care of his daughter. We all know, the SS was there, even if it caused them some convolutions. I think every POTUS has dodged the SS protocol a bit in their tenure.
I may despise him, I may think he is a damn socialist who is destroying the country his daughter will have to live in as an adult (assuming it is even here).
But as a father, I can’t fault him. I think he really loves his kids (and I think more than their mom, who would use them as gateposts to more power).
He is just too stupid to link his actions now to their lives later. Remember, he is a shallow and vapid man with no ability to understand anything beyond his immediate orders from his handlers.

It is a sideline classic! And the scene where he and Sigourney Weaver ditch the SS and go for burgers is hilarious!
The idea he is a “wonderful guy” and “has real ethics” was a bit hackneyed, but it had real heart.
Let me ask the dumb question - media “pool” was ditched - but was there not one other “parent” / adult present at the so called soccer game that the media can find and verify ?
Dang - can’t the press just lose him for a week or so....
So...he was without SS protection? A very dangerous move for the Narcissist in Chief given the times we live in.
