PHOENIX (AP) Cattle rancher Rob Krentz often helped illegal immigrants he found stranded on his sprawling Arizona ranch.
Then two weeks ago, he and his dog were gunned down shortly after he reported spotting someone who appeared to be in trouble. Foot tracks were followed from the shooting scene about 20 miles south, to the Mexico border, and authorities suspect an illegal immigrant.
The killing of the third-generation rancher has become a flashpoint in the immigration debate as politicians cite the episode as further proof that the U.S. must do more to secure the violent U.S.-Mexico border.
(snip)
Krentz's family members declined requests for comment, but released a statement saying he was a humanitarian "who bore no ill will toward anyone" and instilled in his children the importance of honesty and fair dealing.
The family said they hold no malice toward the Mexican people and blame the U.S. and Mexican governments for the killing.
"Their disregard of our repeated pleas and warnings of impending violence toward our community fell on deaf ears shrouded in political correctness," according to the statement. "As a result, we have paid the ultimate price for their negligence in credibly securing our borderlands."

youll pay a heavy price. By the way,

And they need some protection under the law;
they need some of our love and compassion."

Remember the POWs and MIAs! Remember Robert Krentz!
McCain is a Democrat trojan horse and a POS.
McCain and all of his apologists must go!
The first task of elected officials is protect the citizens. I doubt leaving our borders wide open accomplishes that.
Mr. Flip Flop...is it Amnesty, or isn’t it???
His website says hes against AMNESTY...but...
FactCheck: Yes, he has used the word amnesty in the past
While debating whether McCain supported amnesty, Romney said, I dont describe your plan as amnesty in my ad. McCain denied ever favoring amnesty, saying, Let me just say Ive never supported amnesty.
McCain is right when he says that his bill required penalties to be paid by illegals trying to adjust their status, while dictionaries define amnesty as a pardon. But he himself has in the past used the a word to describe what he had in mind:
* May 29, 2003 interview: Amnesty has to be an important part because there are people who have lived in this country for 20, 30 or 40 years, who have raised children here and pay taxes here and are not citizens.
* Dec. 15, 2000 press release: I support the Latino and Immigrant Fairness Act (LIFA). Negotiations between the White House and the leadership, which endorsed more limited immigration reform, have resulted in a compromise.... this bill makes meaningful but insufficient progress on amnesty for those wrongly denied it.
Q [to Tancredo]: Do you think that Sen. McCain is soft on immigration?
TANCREDO: I do. He sponsored a bill that would have given amnesty to everybody whos here illegally. It would have required us to actually consult with Mexico as to whether or not we would build the fence along our southern border. If we pursue this path toward amnesty, its a disaster for the country.
McCAIN: I have never supported amnesty and never would. But the American people expect us to sit down and work this issue out together. Thats what Ive been doing for a couple of years now. We are very close to an agreement, led by our president and his Cabinet, that will first secure our borders. Then we would have a temporary worker program that could only be valid through a tamper-proof biometric document. And then we would address the issue of the 12 million people who are already here.
ROMNEY: The key part of what I objected to in McCain-Kennedy is that they should not get any advantage by having come here illegally.

1988: Honored by La Raza for opposing official English
McCain attacked Proposition 106, a statewide referendum that was being advanced by the so-called English-only movement. McCain told the teachers, Why would we want to pass some kind of initiative that a significant portion of our population considers an assault on their heritage?
Because of his position on the English-only initiative and his willingness to fight for a pluralistic American culture, McCain was one of 10 members of congress who were honored by the National Council of La Raza, a nationwide coalition of Hispanic organizations. In a speech at a ceremony in Washington, before an audience of 500, McCain again attacked English-only initiatives. The building of our great nation is not the work of immigrants from one or two countries, McCain said, Our nation and the English language have done quite well with Chinese spoken in California, German in Pennsylvania, Italian in New York, Swedish in Minnesota, and Spanish throughout the Southwest. I fail to see the cause for alarm now.

More help for legal immigrants when immigrating & once here
* McCain supports the following principles regarding immigration: Increase the eligibility of legal immigrants for certain social programs
* Provide extra federal aid to states with higher numbers of immigrants for necessary medical and social services
* Prohibit states from passing laws that deny human services to illegal immigrants or their children
* Increase the immigration quota for computer scientists and other information technology workers.

Juan McCain is not to be trusted.
Elect J.D. Hayworth, Arizona!

that one ALONE should put him on the “pay no attention to this guy” list.

Yes, that item is interesting. McCain, lately has said English should be learned by ‘immigrants’, but his talk at La Raza sort of contradicts that doesn’t it?

You got that right! I think Hayworth drew blood. FRegards ....
“But the American people expect us to sit down and work this issue out together.”
Kinda like how we sat down and worked out health care reform together, Juan? Give me a break. Juan, and especially the RATS can be trusted anywhere near this issue. It’s also pathetic to see him morph his language over time and then deny what he’s said in the past. I don’t like being lied to, or just dealing with politicians that have ‘poor recollection.’ Bill Clinton comes famously to mind.
"God's children," who are South American Marxist druglords, are bringing their drugs and their illegal human cargo through VZ and Cuba into the US.
File photo shows exterior of upscale NJ home involved in "OPERATION UNBOUNDED," a DEA-NJ Division joint investigation of a $1 million-per-week cocaine ring, and money laundering organization responsible for the distribution of large quantities of cocaine from sources across the US and other countries to NJ and the surrounding area. This home served as the base of operations and is owned by drug lord Vicente and his wife Chantal Esteves who is charged with money laundering.
From left to right: Hector Rodriguez, 41, Michael Lopez, 36, and Cesar Cabrera-Cepeda, 40, all entered guilty pleas to aiding Vicente Esteves, 37, launder cash proceeds of the drug sales.
Esteves admitted he ran the cocaine ring and was laundering the proceeds to finance a lavish lifestyle for his family that included a million dollar gated suburban home, 100 Rolex watches and expensive shoes for his wife. He now faces up to 25 years in prison.
Esteves implicated several of his alleged co-conspirators as he answered questions about the drug activity he orchestrated in Louisiana, Texas, Florida and Georgia, as well as several counties in New Jersey, all with drugs he imported from the Dominican Republic through an Atlanta receiver.
Rodriguez pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree racketeering, first-degree drug possession and first-degree money laundering as part of a plea agreement. In exchange for his guilty plea, the Prosecutor's Office will recommend he be sentenced to 12 years in state prison with a stipulation he serve a minimum of five years behind bars before he is eligible for parole. "Mr. Rodriguez did what he thought was best for him and his family, in light of the circumstances," defense attorney John Perrone said. "At this point in time, he wants to do his time and move on with his life."
Lopez pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree conspiracy to commit money laundering as part of his plea agreement with the Prosecutor's Office. In exchange for his plea, prosecutors will be asking he be sentenced to time served and a period of one to five years of probation. Cabrera-Cepeda accepted a negotiated plea offer from the Prosecutor's Office. In exchange for his guilty plea to one count of third-degree conspiracy to commit money laundering, prosecutors will ask Cabrera-Cepeda be accepted into pretrial intervention program.
Cabrera-Cepeda is a Dominican Republic national who is legally in the country, but may now face deportation because of his guilty plea. Rodriguez, Lopez and Cabrera-Cepeda free on bail were in the courtroom when Esteves entered his guilty plea and answered questions that implicated them. Esteves did not implicate his wife, Chantal, who is charged with conspiracy and money laundering. Chantal Esteves was also in the courtroom to hear her husband plead guilty.
Authorities say Esteves' lawyer Paul Bergrin - in recorded conversations -- solicited an informant to help Esteves in his drug trafficking operation, according to legal papers prepared in support of the prosecutor's argument for no bail.
In those legal papers, authorities say Bergrin has significant contacts in other countries, including the Dominican Republic, Japan and Costa Rica, and they say, based on information they have received from someone, he has five false passports.
Bergrin is now charged with racketeering and racketeering conspiracy, wire fraud and wire fraud conspiracy, murder of a federal witness, and conspiracy to murder a federal witness and, separately, witnesses in a state case, as well as Travel Act violations and conspiracy to commit Travel Act violations.
A US government report says Mexican criminal organizations have more than doubled heroin production in a year and have cemented their grip as the predominant wholesale suppliers of illicit drugs in the United States. The National Drug Threat Assessment concluded that Mexican groups were the only drug trafficking enterprises operating in every region of the United States.
