Arizona's Photo of the Day How Should You Travel?
I think the best way to travel is by train. Someone else does the driving; you can walk to the restaurant; the seats are comfortable; the scenery is usually great; and if you purchase the right ticket, you get your own bed to sleep in! This is another shot of one of the locomotives used on the Grand Canyon Railroad. Well, it was used. It's retired now and sits at the station in Williams. The history behind their rolling stock is really interesting; the cars and engines come from all over the U.S. and from many different railroads. The woman in the picture was posing for someone else.
You can see one of the GCRR cars currently in service in the background.

Berlin was a beautiful city in the early eighties, even with some of the WWII damage still visible. I haven't been there since the Wall came down and have been told that the former East Berlin has changed dramatically. When we were there, the crossing from West to East was accompanied by a physical change - from sunny to drab, from alive to depressed. It was a sobering experience for a young soldier...

Indeed it did. Picked up some more responsibility at work, I guess they’re finally going to start expecting me to earn the exorbitant amount of money they pay me.
Yeah, right!

I made it....car trouble. It wants to quit when coming to a stop. I am not pleased! Doing homework....not a lot because I got a LOT done at work.
Did you have a nice day? We had snow overnight, melted during the day, and it is snowing again. 1 to 4”. Anything that sticks overnight should melt tomorrow as high 30s are forecast.

The entire city was a wonderful experience. Felt very safe and free to do anything we wanted. Conversely, sitting in Heathrow Airport in the Muslim Socialist State of England. NOT allowed to have a cigarette AnyWhere in ANY public place. NOWHERE!! Is this what the USA is headed for? Plenty of liquor available!!

Good morning, Mrs.N....my perfect choice for traveling....by sailboat.
You Should Travel by Sailboat |
When you travel, you really prefer to carve your own path and do things your way. You want to go at your own pace and do as much yourself as possible. You despise group tours.
You don't travel from a schedule or plan... you just go with your intuition. You believe that travel is more about the journey than the destination. And you'd like to sail away into the sunset! |

Kathy - the train was delayed getting in to the station (Union Station, Washington, DC) do to single-tracking and brush fires along the route. It arrived thirty-five minutes late and we departed twenty-five minutes late. So it was a slow trip home. Hope it’s better tonite. :)
