SNIPPET: "President Barack Obama has nominated an anti-missile defense adviser who may soon receive congressional approval and put Americans in danger.
Russia and China, two countries with nuclear weapons and effective long range ballistic missiles, have helped Iran develop its missile program.
Other countries that range from the hostile to the unreliable for example, North Korea, Syria and Pakistan also have ballistic missile programs.
The global picture grows incresingly bleak. The more ballistic missiles change hands between states, the more likely they are to fall or be placed into the hands of terrorists. This is hardly the time for Washington to scale back or eliminate our ballistic missile defense systems (BMDS) the one means we have to shoot enemy missiles out of the sky.
If the president signs a side deal limiting U.S. missile defense in exchange for Russias signature on the START Treaty, it makes matters even worse."

How many czars does this socialist have in his administration now??
IF a rogue nuke hits CONUS on Obama's watch...
Good luck with a Democrat EVER getting elected to ANYTHING ever again, even *with* amnesty.
NO cheers, unfortunately.
Iran with nukes, and America’s capability to shoot them down, would allow Obama to diplomatically blackmail Israel to do anything. The great negotiator... Chicago style against our allies.
Getting a bit worried about his latest actions regarding nuclear defenses. Beginning to wonder if he is trying to leave us open to an offensive attack.
Yes.
“If the president signs a side deal limiting U.S. missile defense in exchange for Russias signature on the START Treaty, it makes matters even worse.”
The reality is the Russkies don’t trust us (why should they, with a prevaricator-in-chief in the Oval Office?), so they will never agree to further weapons reductions without first eviscerating about missile defense capability. The president naively thinks that a world in which U.S. nuclear power is completely neutralized is a safer one. This is where amateur hour at the White House is posing a threat to the nation’s well-being that may not be reversible. We will not be safe until this man is no longer authorized to press the nuclear button since by now all of our enemies know that he hasn’t the cojones to do so were that ever needed.
That is all missing a fact that Russians are operating tested and working ABM systems since earlier 70s after they have deployed a Galoshe system. Today their military already has a second generation ABM systems while their defence companies are offering some cheaper SAMs with built-in ABM solutions for sale to the 3rd world.
“That is all missing a fact that Russians are operating tested and working ABM systems since earlier 70s”
Who says the Russians have in any way been consistent on their posture? Notwithstanding their decades of experience in deploying ABMs, their negotiating posture is that deep cuts are not feasible until/unless the U.S. forswears further ABM development/deployment. They are paranoid that the U.S. will develop a system sufficiently capable of rendering 800 Soviet warheads impotent. It could be a bluff, but our president certainly seems to take it seriously.
