For many of us, the arrival of Easter means the arrival of a new season of joy of Easter parades, Easter egg hunts, chocolate bunnies, and sweet Peeps topping off a family meal. Some may wonder why we merrily celebrate at a time when were remembering Christs crucifixion on the cross. And there is something to that. Good Friday is, after all, about God who became Man, dying on the cross for our sins. And yet we celebrate Easter Sunday, and we are right to do so.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). This one verse sums up the miracle that is the Easter season and helps explain the celebration. Yes, Christ died for us, but in the end Easter isnt a season of sadness. Ultimately, the story of Christs rising from the dead three days after the crucifixion is the story of the triumph of hope over despair.
Hope is one of Americas unique virtues. Hope makes us dream and achieve the seemingly impossible. Its who we are, and its why were able to always believe that our best days are yet to come, both for our families and for our country. Easter time reminds us that we have every right to believe that this hope is based on time-tested truths and a solid foundation.
On behalf of the Palin family, I wish you all a peaceful and reflective Good Friday and a blessed and happy Easter Sunday.
- Sarah Palin

Toby Keith is a moron.
When’s the last time a future President quoted John 3:16?
You’re welcome. It is powerful...Palin remarked in one of her speeches last year, that “Sunday’s Coming” and when I researched it out(cause I didn’t understand why she threw that in there)...this is what I found.
Guess it has worn down over time...
(Crude, yes, but makes the point)
Ain't that the unbelievable truth!
more like the difference between a Leader and a thug
thats right palinhaters NONE.
Next to Obama even Colonel Kink would be a refreshing breath of air........Go Sarah!
So true AMEN AMEN!!!....She is not ashamed of her faith in God...Not afraid to fall on her knees and ask Him for guidance...Obama meanwhile is probably on his kneeling 5 times a day too... and facing to that place in the Middle East.
There is night and there is day. Obama has taken us into the night, Sarah is the day we know will eventually return. We'll have to endure the darkness a couple more years while we fight against those who succumbed to his lies while removing many of his cohorts from congress.
Whatever pain or suffering we experience will be of our own making as we were given a choice that thankfully, may be remedied every four years. Thanks to the founders for term limiting the highest office as they must have known how, at times, it would certainly be occupied by a spoiler, and our imperfections in general.
The only candidate who wasn't a legislator, the only candidate with true executive experience and a son serving in the military (in Iraq, no less) and an unmatched exuberance for America by any other politician, and our media shuns her.
A lot of damage can happen in two years but I'm willing to endure it knowing that Sarah Palin has a chance to bring light back much as it happens in the Land of the Midnight Sun...Alaska. I understand our media will continue to pray for darkness as any light exposes them and is unhealthy for them. In a couple of years they'll have to slither back under the rocks where they live- that, I know is true.
