PHOENIX -- An Arizona House committee has advanced a bill that would criminalize the presence of illegal immigrants in the state.

Oh, Lord. Obambi might call up the National Guard to keep Arizona from keeping out illegal immigrants. There will be tanks on the border ensuring the safe passage of illegal immigrants from Mexico into Arizona.

And, oh, yeah. Then Obambi will really fix Arizona by deeming that there is no such thing as an “illegal” immigrant. Nothing to see here. Just move along.

What really bothers me this morning is that my blood pressure went up just by reading the words "immigration bill".

Just like "health care bill" ... there will now be a non-stop barrage of these words ... and I was prepared for Arizona to do something stupid.

Here is what McCain, regardless of his big push yesterday for troops on the border, actually thinks about it.

SEN. JOHN MCCAIN, R-ARIZ.: I do not favor using troops because they are not trained for it. They don’t have the kind of qualifications necessary. I have strongly favored us using all the technical equipment that our military has including satellites, including aircraft and other technical means.

This is great. The guy who is the "police chief" in Phoenix is an open borders guy. He refuses to allow his officers to do anything about illegals. The same with the Mayor. If the state passes this, then they will have no choice but to comply.

If congress wants to increase LEGAL immigration (complete with health checks, background checks, and incentives to learn english)I'd be all for it once the unemployment rates go back down to 4% like they were under Bush.

Put the 2ND Div on our border and the problem is fixed.
