The Hutaree militia and the rising risk of far-right violence By Eugene Robinson ....By contrast, there has been explosive growth among far-right, militia-type groups that identify themselves as white supremacists, "constitutionalists," tax protesters and religious soldiers determined to kill people to uphold "Christian" values. Most of the groups that posed a real danger, as the Hutaree allegedly did, have been infiltrated and dismantled by authorities before they could do any damage. But we should never forget that the worst act of domestic terrorism ever committed in this country was authored by a member of the government-hating right wing: Timothy McVeigh's bombing of the federal building in Oklahoma City. It is dishonest for right-wing commentators to insist on an equivalence that does not exist. The danger of political violence in this country comes overwhelmingly from one direction -- the right, not the left. The vitriolic, anti-government hate speech that is spewed on talk radio every day -- and, quite regularly, at Tea Party rallies -- is calibrated not to inform but to incite....

Eugene Robinson sounds like he is “teabagging” when he talks. Does anyone else think he sounds like he has a mouth full of balls when he talks?
BTW, Eugene Robinson is a hate-filled racist who despises anyone and everyone who does not agree with him. He is a venomous, nasty, vile liberal. He is a talentless, thoughtless, and tedious writer. He would, no doubt, bend over a desk for his King Obama. He is a douche-bag and a scumbag. Other than that he is a okay.
Just the beginning....
Wrong-wing?
I love it, we need to use that phrase more often, here is a suggestion to Michelle Malkin, Laura, Rush and the such.
Wrong-Wingers, I’m thinking its a perfect description for those destroying America.
Keepin my mouth shut and practice...practice...practice.
It's Andrew Wilkow's phrase - his show is on Sirius/XM from 12-3 weekdays.
I suspect it originated somewhere.
I am sick and tired that if you protest this president you are somehow considered not patriotic - Hillary Clinton

One more thing:
But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security
“I am still trying to figure out what these guys did that was illegal,...”
Me too and I live in SEMI. The story keeps changing and the talking heads just continue to demonize.
I'd love to think you're right, but my cynicism carries me back to 2001 when a lot of us had high hopes that a Republican president and Congress would take a look into the crimes of the Clinton administration...
Conspiring to kill cops is illegal.
Thanks. As I said, they are denouncing this group as a “cult”. The Michigan Militia knows from past experience to distance themselves from kooks.
Interesting thread overhere.
“I know this is going to sound maybe a bit far fetched to some.”
Yeah, well, it sounded far fetched in the 1930’s in Germany too (and you can look that up). Human nature is today what it was 5000 yrs ago. Nothing has chagned and there is nothing new under the sun.
This was from a post by Candor7 on this thread: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2482249/posts?page=536#536
The first reports did indeed mention Muslims as having "reported" the group, and also mentioned that CAIR had been informed in a phone call from a reporter that the raid had taken place, after which the CAIR representative made a statement congratulating the FBI on stopping this attack on Muslims.
So I think a lot more information has got to come out about this. And, as I said, in my local press, the group is not described as "right wing," but as "Christian." (BTW, I think that's a pretty loose desccription - from the little one can find out about them, they seem to have been a sort of militant end-of-the-world cult similar to Jim Jones or even the early Mormons, so I don't even think calling them "Christian" is totally accurate.)
The word is Sedition. That means plotting or planning to fight against the government. You don’t have to have actually done it. It’s been illegal for a long time.
If he tries that, the claims won't be bogus.
Yep, you’re right. That’s pretty frightening with the Obamunists in control, isn’t it?
I’ll add to your point. The same people that say we should “understand” why our enemies hate us, are busy demonizing their own citizens. They want to “understand” why our foriegn enemy is angry with us, while at the same time they demonize their own citizenry that is angry with their policies.
