No link yet, only from live broadcast:

In a press release just handed to Fox by the FBI, the six Michigan residents, two from Ohio, one from Indiana are charged with “seditious conspiracy.”

Reportedly, Hutaree is accused of attempted use of weapons of mass destruction. Charges range from August 2008 to today.

The militia group Hutaree are said to have conspired to oppose by force the authority of the US Government.

The members viewed local, state and federal law enforcement as "the brotherhood," also known as their enemy, and have been preparing, the FBI says, to engage them in armed conflict.

According to one plan released by the FBI, the group was to kill a law enforcement officer, then during the funeral precession, hit again with IEDs to kill more LEOs.

Whoa! There you have it -

“a dedicated group of dissidents who plan and incite purposeful acts designed to disrupt social order.

This may occur either because leaders of protest organizations intentionally induce their followers to perpetrate violent acts,...”

They can slip “Sarah Palin”, “Rush”, “Beck” “The Tea Party folk” right in there and round them up.

It's in the wind. I have suspicioned they are intending to create a crisis to use in imposing Marital Law - to shut down the election - which is why the dems don’t worry about loosing their seats.

Remember, before the election, Biden was caught, unawares, on an open mike saying they would have to take a drastic action that we wouldn't agree with but that we would see later was necessary.

“Just vote for the bill and then we can see what's in it - and you'll LOVE it”

Think they wouldn't impose Martial Law?

if the organization was infiltrated and it was really the feds that suggested this course of action...

Then it was entrapment.

Good to see you LR! I use to always trust our FBI and other authorities. Even when Waco went down, at first I thought they must have a good reason for going in(child abuse, etc.), but as time went on, it was apparent it was a botched deal all the way around. I wasn’t as politically aware back then, but it became obvious even to the neophyte that Reno and Co. were just targeting those people because of their beliefs. They could have detained Koresh days before off of the compound when he went in town. Now we have a President that is hiring FBI attorneys that have represented terrorists for christ’s sake.

Scary times indeed.

attempting to use weapons of mass destruction

"attempting"?

that's a lot different than 'planning" or 'possessing'.

So, where is the evidence of action in motion?

these groups, I don't believe, plan on "attacking" the United States - but only in protecting themselves if attacked.

they may be misguided, may be fanatics. But it doesn't pass the smell test that they'd plan to take out a couple police officers and then attack a funeral - to what purpose? An annihilation wish on their community?

make me wonder if someone is wagging the dog.

coming in coordination with the 'coordinated' attack on 'extremist' Tea Partiers and Palin 'inciting violence' splash across the MSM, parroting the lines they have been fed....You may be right.

Only the false target to be attacked this time won't be Kosovo or some other foreign people - it will be us.

I don't know, and I don't want to speculate based on media mouth running, some of which was found to be BS already.

I'd like to watch this in court if I get a chance and get the time off.

LOL, I don't think they'd care if something normally utterly scandalous got out - they seem to have the entire MSM in their hands, so it wouldn't matter, the spin would be totally positive.

Have you read about Hal Turner?

There's quite a few articles in the archives, under keyword: halturner

He had a rightwing talk show on radio, but now he's in jail.

Why?

For inciting the public ..... BUT, it turns out that the FBI frequently was instructing him to write incindiary blog posts MEANT, intentionally, to incite readers.

Seriously.

The Hal Turner situation gets seriously on my nerves -- even his surname, it's right out of Tim McVeigh's favorite novel, THE TURNER DIARIES.

I presume that MOST FBI agents are entirely professional and ethical to the extreme, but I remain suspicious of those who are not.

I don’t know how many times people have to be lied to before they start to question everything the Obama administration says.

Remember O’Keefe? Anyone who could read the FBI affidavit and understand it, saw that the affidavit did not mention a committed crime by O’Keefe or his crew. So where is that case now? I’ll tell you where it is ... it is under the desk in a circle can called a waste basket.

People don’t trust the BATF and the FBI because of the lies they told about Waco and other cases. They demonized Pastor Koresh and his church members with total lies to justify murdering them, including the children.

The government also protected the murder, Lon Horiuchi from even standing trial for his crimes.

Read this if you think these are the only cases of this type.

An Innocent Man Goes Free 33 Years After Conviction
http://www.nytimes.com/2001/02/02/national/02FREE.html?printpage=yes

Ad to these facts the fact that the FBI was working with a CAIR militia member and it is more than reasonable to doubt that things are as claimed by the government.

Sheesh another one...............

Yeah the Holder troll brigade is jumping on the wagon to bring about the criminalization of political dissent.

Those charged in Michigan may have committed an offence. I am defending them because Eric Holder has the right to defend terrorists , and then becomme AG of our nation, hiring a dozen other lawyers from his same law firm who defended terrorists.....and organized the present policy of Mirandizing terrorists. If Holder can defend terrorists who kill American soldiers, I sure as hell can defend people who allegedly have threatened Muslims.

I will defend the Michigan folks and their presumed innocenece until evidence proves otherwise.I do not believe anything the MSM reports on the matter.

And watch these insignificant little trolls try to spread confusion. Buahahahahahahaha!

There's several years worth of postings about Hal Turner here on FR; these are simply the last 2 threads posted here:

Attorney: FBI Trained NJ Blogger to Incite Others (Hal Turner-Government Informer!!)

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - A New Jersey blogger facing charges in two states for allegedly making threats against lawmakers and judges was trained by the FBI on how to be deliberately provocative, his attorney said Tuesday.

Hal Turner worked for the FBI from 2002 to 2007 as an "agent provocateur" and was taught by the agency "what he could say that wouldn't be crossing the line," defense attorney Michael Orozco said.....

For more than five years, Hal Turner of North Bergen lived a double life.

The public knew him as an ultra-right-wing radio talk show host and Internet blogger with an audience of neo-Nazis and white supremacists attracted to his scorched-earth racism and bare-knuckles bashing of public figures.

But to the FBI, and its expanding domestic counter-terror intelligence operations in the wake of the Sept. 11 attacks, Turner was "Valhalla" — his code name as an informant who spied on his own controversial followers.

Turner's clandestine past was confirmed this past summer when he was jailed on charges that he made threats on his blog against three federal judges in Chicago. In court after his arrest, federal prosecutors acknowledged Turner's FBI ties but downplayed his importance and even described him as "unproductive"........

The investigation has been going on since 2008...yet suddenly it’s time to arrest these people?

Well thats two years for an investigation which is plenty long enough. so you would rather they wait until October, 2010?

I sure wish we had more FACTS about this case.

For instance, when the raids were occurring, I'd read many times that they had threatened Muslims here in America -- but now, in court, they are claiming that this Christian Militia was plotting to kill American Police????

Huh???

A rightwing Christian group of people conspires to kill the police???? THAT plot wouldn't even be accepted in a spy-thriller, it's utterly illogical, right/

Most plausible theory I've yet to read.
