Sunrise in Searchlight. The place is crowded already at 6:30am. Anyone else here?

We’ve been stuck in traffic for 45 minutes. It’s backed up for miles. We’re now about two miles from the gate. Received a call from Amy a few minutes ago. She was coming from the other direction. Said they closed the gate because they’re full. No more room for parking on the property. They say they already have twice the crowd they thought they’d have. Hundreds if not thousands are being turned away. Cars are parked on the shoulders on both sides of the highway for about three miles out and the people are walking in. If we can get to the gate or close to it, Chris will drop me off and I’ll ride in on my powerchair and Chris and Sheila can drive on to Searchlight for lunch and they can pick me up later. Looks like I’ve missed Sarah Palin, though.

Supporters of Senator Harry Reid have just thrown eggs at the Tea Party Express bus caravan – striking at least one of the three buses (the red Tea Party Express bus) with multiple eggs.
About 35 Reid supporters had lined Highway 95 in front of the Nugget Casino in Searchlight where they were attempting a counter-demonstration the tens of thousands of tea party supporters who are gathering for the “Showdown in Searchlight.”

35 Reid supporters LOL..who did they have to dig up in order to get that kind of group..WOW 35 supporters..that is pretty darn pathetic isn’t it..and WOW, how nice, throwing eggs, how civil of them liberals, so full of peace and happiness, wanting to bring love and understanding to America, so full of CRAP they are. I wonder if the media will report on them, ya know, those peace loving people throwing eggs..nah, who am I fooling
