Remember when Obama said he wanted a “national security force?” Not the national guard, but a civilian one that has not sworn to uphold the Constitution? On July 2, 2008 in a speech in Colorado Springs, Barack Obama called for a police state.

Remember that first alarming glimpse of what that army might look like? Notice how much these “Hitler youth” type young men talk about health care!

Obama just got his private army…

…And no one seems to have noticed. It is buried in the Senate revisions to the health care bill.

That said, and before you get out the flamethrowers (oops, too late), this kind of "humanitarian organization" under the creation & direction of "dear leader" DOES risk being bent into something sinister. There's a difference between that and "it's his private army". They're not armed. They're not even drilling with brooms.

Sure, yep , they'll just rush into "troubled areas" and control access to and distribution of things like medical care, power, food/water, emergency funding (read: banking). Maybe even "managing" emergency "shelters" and "housing," restricting movement, enforcing curfews.

You know, harmless stuff like that, that Federal government outsiders can do much more "forcefully" and "effectively" than the local rubes.

I believe this has to do with the office of the Surgeon General and the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service, and not the creation of a domestic military or paramilitary force:

That provision is totally unconstitutional. One Congress cannot proscribe actions of a subsequent Congress. Just think about what that would mean. It nullifies elections.

The section posted lacks any real detail to draw a definite conclusion as to what purpose this "corpse" might serve. It is intentionally broad. Regardless, it is unnecessary for something like this to be included in the bill. We don't need more government bureaucracy.
