Remember when Obama said he wanted a “national security force?” Not the national guard, but a civilian one that has not sworn to uphold the Constitution? On July 2, 2008 in a speech in Colorado Springs, Barack Obama called for a police state.

Remember that first alarming glimpse of what that army might look like? Notice how much these “Hitler youth” type young men talk about health care!

Obama just got his private army…

…And no one seems to have noticed. It is buried in the Senate revisions to the health care bill.

The section posted lacks any real detail to draw a definite conclusion as to what purpose this "corpse" might serve.

It does, though. The very first line says "Section 203 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 204) is amended to read as follows:". That section is part of the chapter of the statute that governs the Public Health Service. If you read the section as it will be applied, which is as a part of the Public Health Service Act (Title 42, Ch. 6A of the U.S. Code), it's pretty clear that the "Ready Reserve Corps" is there to augment the existing Public Health Service Commissioned Corps.

There's a whole lot not to like about this bill, including some of the other sections posted by the blogger, but this section is pretty harmless other than being another waste of money.

They’re talking about the Regular Corps of the Public Health Service Commissioned Officer Corps. It is the second smallest of the seven uniformed services (only the NOAA Corps is smaller) and has existed as a uniformed service since 1871 (it was the Marine Hospital Service until 1912).

There actually aren’t any NCOs or other enlisted personnel in the Public Health Service. The lowest grade is W-1 warrant officer. Under both the old and new Section 203 of the PHS Act (42 USC 204), warrant officers are commissioned officers and must also be citizens.

I just called my U.S. Congressman’s Office. Give your Congressman a call ASAP and demand that he supply all the details on this section; what it means, to whom it applies,
officers; Reserve versus Regular Corps, compensation, equipment, training, etc. Also tell him you are calling your talk radio people in you area and making them aware of this provision. I just emailed the talk radio host in my area.
