Just announced on Fox. One of the first "benefits" of Obamacare is news that companies with large populations of retirees that now have health insurance through their former employees will, instead, be dumped and forced onto Medicaid and Medicare. The resulting fines for the companies will be far less than continuing to pay for retirees' medical care. It's all allegedly legal under ObamaCare.
But if they like their plan, they get to keep it, right? Obama promised.
This is the slippery slope toward Single-payer.
Who could of seen this coming!
....
Oh yeah! Republicans have been saying during the entire debate this is what would happen.
Democrats are the stupidest people on earth, I guess there is a good reason they usually live in the projects.
Or these companies will move off shore and not pay anything. So much for jobs.
Result?: U.S. Dept. of Health Care Insurance
..and so it begins
The natural law of business says that the large can only get so large — and eventually will shrink as smaller companies grow. This leaves larger companies with a large number of retirees that can only add cost to the companies. Obamacare gives them an out. Corporations loyalty needs to be with their shareholders, and cutting expenses is one way they prove their loyalty.
but...but...but...Dear Leader said we would be able to keep our own insurance!!
Of course. Dump the profit killing company health insurance under Obamacare and force them onto the Government plan.
Good luck. You’re on your own.
Hopefully GM UAW retiree thugs and other union thugs will lose their Caddilac healthcare. Eff em.
And Obama, his family...Congress and their staff....are all EXEMPT from Obamacare.
Why didn’t we hear from large and small business during all of this?
They were complicit.
It’s in the plan for single payer, which is the real goal...Put the Insurance companies out of business, forces all onto government healthcare/deathcare.
If its legal... why would they have to pay a fine?
Just say'n
Isn’t this the norm? I retired early & have to pay for my insurance until I’m old enough for Medicare. My sweetie, who’s a bit older than me, was dropped from insurance when he became eligible for Medicare. It didn’t seem as if there was a choice!
How many union retirees will be effected?
Watch out.
The horror stories of retirees losing coverage? The disappearance of private insurance companies? The coming rise in premiums? The looming doctor shortages?
Those are all Bush's fault. The old, the sick, the poor will likely blame all the problems of Obamacare on Republicans.
Obama said we would keep the insurance we have.
He lied.
