At least 10 House Democrats who voted Sunday for health care overhaul have received violent threats to their lives or property, party leaders said today.
Connecticut Democrat on health reform: "More action and correction" coming soon.Several members have faced death threats and harassing phone calls while others have experienced vandalism at district offices or their private homes.
In one case, a gas line was cut outside the Virginia home of Rep. Tom Perriello's brother after a conservative activist posted the address online, mistakenly thinking it was the congressman's house. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating.

I was talking about this with someone more liberal than me.
And I asked them if they remember the shot out windows at a Bush-Cheney office in 2004. I asked them if they remember hearing about Sarah Palin’s church being burned to the ground by arsonists. And I asked them if they remember the Milwaukee election day 2004 tire slashings of vans rented by Repubicans in the get out the vote drive. In this latter case, the Democrat son of a Democrat Milwaukee elected official was convicted.
This more liberal person did not remember hearing about any of these cases in which liberals targeted the Republicans.
I do not condone any violence or vandalism or any of that. However, I do wish the MSM was honest in their reporting, that there are people at either extreme who take things too far. Their implication that good Democrats would never do anything like this against political opponents is demonstrably false. And the MSM should be called on it.

With all the stories on vile threats from the opposition that have appeared today, it appears that the predicate for more um, “vigorous” law enforcement is being laid.

THEY are the experts at intimidation! They use it constantly, then run and hide behind the MSM's skirts screaming foul if they even think they are getting any of their own medicine!!! It NEVER fails!!!
I wonder how many callers were ACORN using stolen phones, a pay phone, etc? Threatening a public official is serious. Good Lord there are much better ways to get even like vote against them.

Don't know what your point is, but no. The sat around a table and figured out how to gain and keep liberty. They made demands, those were rejected, their rights were stripped away and then they were shot at.
What we have so far is rights being contested in a political process which is far from played out.
I agree. While I don’t doubt there are people who will blow off steam and sound threatening, I don’t believe much these people say because they will say whatever suits their agenda. Lying is like breathing to them.
