Please check out the provision for a Commissioned Corps and Ready Reserve Corps. in the healthcare bill. I don't know what it has to do with healthcare but it sounds an awful lot like Obama just got his own personal militia.

Very good reply, but you left out one of the most important changes which is the first one on page 1312: sec 5209 eliminates the previous cap on the number of people in the reserve corp (2800), meaning they can make this thing any number they want, by appointment of the president. So there is something to the fear that this is a private shadow cadre for the kenyan marxist to make mischief.

That is why President Bush called for the establishment of a volunteer Civilian Reserve Corps in his 2007 State of the Union address. "Such a corps would function much like our military reserve," he said. "It would ease the burden of the armed forces by allowing us to hire civilians with critical skills to serve on missions abroad when America needs them." Both the State Department and the Pentagon support this initiative.
I agree that "Flying off the handle" is inappropriate. However, if I correctly interpret YOUR comments to mean that they should not be wary of the use that Obama might make of this specific legal language to utilize personnel in the supression of Liberty, then I cannot agree.

Well . . . here’s a scenario . . . Let’s say millions of people refuse to comply with the Health Care mandate, escaping the fine by not withholding, or through some form of civil disobedience. Let’s say unemployment continues to climb, and inflation arrives, interest rates skyrocket, countless people lose their life savings and the numbers among the homeless make the Great Depression look like a cakewalk. Suddenly, the Chinese dump their holdings of American debt. There is chaos . . . PRESTO! To the rescue comes Obama Corps! (We’ll assume he has learned by then how to pronounce “Corps”) to save the day. The military is still preoccupied in two wars (perhaps a third, started by the One to keep them busy). We will have set up gulags, of course, to ship people off to. And we’ll give them all SOMA to keep them happy. No, wait! That was Brave New World. Skip the SOMA. But, there will be surveillance cameras everywhere, and big Orwellian screens provided by Pravda-NBC. The One speaks . . . .

As I said on another thread earlier, with this administration no conspiracy theory is unreasonable.
The Communist have been planning the slow takeover of this country since 1907 when Lenin sent Julius Hammer to this country with lots of money and instructions to establish a Communists Party USA. With each succeeding Democrat administration from Woodrow Wilson to Barak Obama they have moved the ball closer to the goal. Now they have pulled out all stops and are going for broke.
They have saturated the education system, the media, the entertainment industry and all the labor unions with their operatives and the moment for bold action has arrived. They don’t intend to let it go to waste.
I know one thinks he sounds looney suggesting such a thing but it is the truth and there is no need to dance around it anymore.

I would say this is a good question. We need to find out what bill was actually signed.
