Huge crowds expected for McCain-Palin event
The East Valley Tribune, Phoenix, Ariz. ^ | 2010-03-23 | Mike Sakal

Campaign staff and volunteers of Sen. John McCain and his former vice presidential running mate Sarah Palin are preparing for the pair’s appearance at Mesa’s Dobson High School on Saturday.

A spokesman for the camp offered a bit of advice for those wanting to get in: “Folks should get there early,” said Brian Rogers, McCain’s communications director. The event is free, on a first-come, first-served basis and does not require a ticket.

Also speaking at a rally in Tucson on Friday, the appearances are McCain and Palin’s first ones together at a public event since their concession speech in the 2008 presidential race.

Their appearance comes just four days after President Barack Obama signed a $938 billion health care reform bill. McCain has been an outspoken critic of the bill and plans to lead an effort to repeal it.

Palin, the former governor of Alaska, is stumping for McCain. She will speak about McCain’s values and what she learned from him during their 2008 presidential campaign and through his battles against his own party line, Rogers said.

McCain will speak about what he appreciates in Palin’s leadership, and speak out against what he believes are misguided priorities in the White House including government overspending, his concerns for the 17 percent unemployment rate in Arizona and the state’s home foreclosure problem as 48 percent of homeowners in Arizona are under water, according to Rogers.

"Conservatives support Sarah Palin"

Really? Which ones would they be? The McCain Conversatives? The Lindsey Graham conservatives?

Well, I detest McCain and Graham (and Romney, Huckabee, Pawlenty, etc.), but I support Sarah Palin at this juncture.

I'm not real happy about her support for McCain, Grahamnesty or Rand Paul, but so far, she hasn't done anything to make me completely pull support.

She's on my "short list" along with several others such as Jim DeMint, Mike Pence, Hayley Barbour, Michele Bachmann and Duncan Hunter.

The list will likely modify somewhat as 2012 gets closer and dynamics shift, but so far, Sarah Palin is on that list.

I don't worship any human beings and especially not politicians. I don't think onyx does, either, but I've seen a few FReepers who do seem to get a little heavy on the supplication and adoration of their particular chosen candidate.

You can post all your anti-Republican, liberatarian, liberal or sites just looking for attention you want that still doesn’t make it true.

The Heritage Foundation is a well known conservative thinktank that tends to shill for the Republican Party. Heck, it's largely run by Steve Forbes.

But keep on closing your eyes, putting your fingers in your ears, and yelling "nyah nyah you're a liar!" at me because it's readily apparent that that's all you're mentally capable of doing.

whats the difference between a RINO and someone who supports a RINO ?

A RINO advances the agenda of the enemy camp.

A Rino supporter enables him.

If Bush had grown the government then the number of federal government workers would have grown in relation to population.

I'll take what Democrat media is drinking...

I related a humane effort to try to prevent
the monstrous amount of needless death in
an impoverished nation.

If you disagree with compassionate outreach
when it’s catastrophic, I have nothing for
you.

What exactly are you for and whom do you
think offers that? What positive actions
are you taking to make things better, besides
posting and looking backwards here? That’s
if you can get off your Bush bong and swimming
in the repetitive Groundhog Day BDS recrimination
and resentment trip.

You come off as grouchy. And if you’re in your
20-30’s and bitter, God help you. I don’t envy
the people in your life. Hope things improve
for you.

Yeah whatever . no one site holds a monopoly on truth.

You can’t show an increase in government workers during Bush’s term so you prove yourself a slanderer, and make a fool of yourself. If Bush was the biggest grower of government as you claim surely it would be realy easy to show such a great increase in number of federal government workers in relation to population. But you can’t because what you say is not true .Bush and Republicans didn’t grow the government.

i’d like to see you bash democrats who just turned over 1/6 of the economy to the government something which republicans stopped for all 12 years they held power. I’d like to see you bash Democrats when democrats give amnesty to 30 million illegals and hundreds milllions of their family members back home in the 3rd world and then give them all free government healthcare.fairness doctrine, net neutrality, vat tax all coming from the Democrats.but u want us to think Republicans are the threat . no Democrats are the threat and Republicans are the only thing that can stop them.

If you disagree with compassionate outreach when it’s catastrophic, I have nothing for you.

Voluntarily giving of one's own time, funds, and resources to help another is compassionate, laudable, and the right thing to do.

Taking someone else's funds and resources against their will, or forcing them to surrender their time (i.e., forcing them to enter into a state of servitude), isn't compassionate, nor is it praiseworthy. It is, however, wrong in every sense of the word.

You fail to recognize the difference.

I remember every Presidential election night going back to President Kennedy's.

Oh want a night when Reagan was elected, how proud it was to be American. Then Reagan was re-elected by such a great landslide.

I was just as happy when we thought “W” won” in 2000. Fox called it around 1:30 pm I think. I hated Al Gore. I remember doing a jig with my mother (in her seventies), which she hadn't done ever before. We then started to freak out when they pulled the call back. Well the dems didn't get to steal it. Then 2004 was such a great night beating the corpseman John Kerry and Bush was the first President in over 100 years not to lose any seat in the house and senate!

But on November 6th, 2012, when I hear “Ladies and Gentleman, President Elect Sarah Palin” !!!!!! WOW. Oh what A Night!! It will be the Happiest I have ever been on a election night!

“what alternate universe are you living in.Are you saying Republicans didn’t stop Amnesty”

It was the grassroots (and not just Republicans) that “stopped amnesty”. The leadership of the GOP is/are for it. When HillaryCare was proposed, the GOP didn’t oppose it as being unconstitutional on its face. No, they just did their patented “our alternative is less bad” dance. Perhaps you don’t remember back that far?

When did “net neutrality” and the “fairness doctrine” (something that was operative unofficially under both GOP and Democrat Administrations) become actual bills that made it to the floor?

“yes it was Republicans in Congress.”

Actually, it was Kristol, if anyone. Even many Democrats didn’t like it.

You’re welcome to eat the whole “your Democrat” bilge.

I’m betting that wasn’t a complement there, Democrat_media.

It certainly wouldn’t be taken as such by anyone over the age of 30 or so.

No Republicans In Congress voting against Amnesty stopped Amnesty. funny that you blame them for listening to the people.Amazing. Republicans just can’t do anything right according to you huh. you must be a democrat.

Democrats didn’t listent to the people.
Grass roots didn’t stop Democrats from turning over 1/6 of the economy over to the government.Democrats don’t care that the American people opposed this. and Democrats won’t care when the American people oppose Amnesty as Democrats will ram that down the American’s people’s throat too, along with many other evil things too to destroy America and freedom but. u helped destroy the only thing, the GOP, that could have stopped Democrats from destroying America and freedom.

I can’t and don’t try to speak for others.

I don’t see any Obamabots here, but I do see PAULTARDS and they’re like a cult. They’re not Republicans -— they are third party voters -— and I am conservative Republican and a Tea Party Republican.

I agree with you that no candidate can be elevated to to the point where legitmate criticism is ‘deemed” off limits. I am not wedded to any single candidate for 2012 at this point, but I like Sarah Palin best, and I am noty convinced that she is going to run, so I have others on my list.

I am more interested in the congressional elections, so from now until the elections in November, my concentration is focused there.
