In Colorado, during a Tea Party protest at the state capitol during the Health Care debate last Sunday, a vet lead all of us (enmasse) in an oath similar to the ones taken by members of the armed services and congress, raising our hands in allegiance to the Constitution to support and defend. At our largest upcoming Tea Party gathering in Colorado (Tax Day Tea Party), we are considering using the standard oath, led by a vet and asking all participating citizens to raise their right hand while making the oath. The "office" referred to in the oath would be one of "American Patriot".
This could be a good commitment for all who attend gatherings nationwide and could be an effective statement of our resolve as patriots. Thoughts?
I, (state your name), do solemnly swear (or affirm), that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter, So help me God.
I, Mrs BS Roberts, do solemnly swear, that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter, So help me God.

Our Enemies do not play by rules. They care not for promises or taking oaths. As long as we play by rules, we will be had. We are beyond that now and had better realize it. Kind of like playing by current rules of engagement against the British during 1st Revolution, we didn’t start winning until we went guerilla.
I like it!
Oath Keepers was founded last year on April 19 at Lexington Green, MA. It is a non-partisan association of currently serving and retired military, reserves, National Guard, veterans, Peace Officers, and Fire Fighters who will fulfill their Oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Civilians are welcome to join as Citizen Associate members.
I am a Citizen Associate member of Oath Keepers, and we have a growing state group here in Alabama. Our local group is led by a Peace Officer in a neighboring town and is well represented by currently serving and retired LEO's and military. They have stated vehemently that they will stand against tyranny. See: Declaration Of Orders We Will Not Obey
I'd encourage you to join your Oath Keepers state group and then go out and recruit state and local LEO's. Include active and retired military, mayors and city/county council members, and other citizens in your efforts. You do not have to join Oath Keepers national to participate in the organization.
Yeah, maybe we could all pay some money to do it too.
pay who?
I, libsrscum, do solemnly swear, that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter, So help me God. next....
Bill O’Reilly maligned the Tea Party folks last night. I wanted to put my fist through the TV. I hit the OFF button instead. BOR will never be on my TV again.
BOR one day will be begging his Liberal friends for health care. Good luck buddy.
A friend of mine who is an LEO told me about Oath Keepers several months ago. I joined immediately. Keep the flame burning!
I, the father of Mrs. B. S. Roberts took this oath as an 18 year old sailor. I hereby REPEAT and REVOW this oath, which is as important to me as it was so many years ago.
So help me GOD.
Hi, Honey
Just cut my Direct TV service today. You’ll feel better. It’s a good day to do it also.
They asked why, I said Obama
I, Listenhillary do solemnly swear, that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter, So help me God.
“...and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter, So help me God”
I think I should ammend to it to:
“...and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of a true and loyal American Citizen, so help me God”
because I think it IS the duty of American citizen to protect our Constitution! Any thoughts on my ammendment? ok?
I took that oath prior to my enlistment in the U.S.A.F. and as far as I’m concerned it’s still in effect.
I fear our republic is toast.
I have the will fellow patriot.
Let’s march!
I took the following oath in April 1969 upon entry into the United States Army. As far as I can tell, it did not expire when I was discharged in April 1972. “I, (name), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.” Note the part about “all enemies, foreign and domestic” and the part about “according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice”. Illegal orders,or those given by usurpers are not required to be obeyed.
We took that oath here in Atlanta, GA LAST April 15th.....
20,000 of us....

replace:
...and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter...
with:
...and that I will well and faithfully uphold my responsibilities as a free citizen of the United States of America...
So help me God.
