WASHINGTON, DC U.S. Congressman Bart Stupak (D-Menominee) announced three airports in northern Michigan have received grants totaling $726,409 for airport maintenance and improvements. The funding was provided by the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration.
This federal funding will help these airports better provide critical services to communities in northern Michigan, Stupak said. I am pleased the FAA has made this investment in our local airports and the individuals and businesses they serve.
Alpena County Regional Airport received a grant of $85,500 to acquire friction measuring equipment, specifically a decelermeter and tow vehicle, to replace equipment that has worn out.
Delta County Airport in Escanaba received a grant of $179,209 to install a 10 foot perimeter fence to enhance security and prevent wildlife from entering the airport.
The Chippewa County International Airport near Sault Ste. Marie received a grant of $461,700 to install lighted signs on Runway 16/34 and make repairs to the pavement to meet marking requirements and maintain structural integrity.
This funding is provided to the FAA through the regular federal appropriations process and is awarded through competitive grants.
Does the UP have an airport? It’s right next to Obey’s district .... practically. Northern-Western, WI. What’s with these people??????????? God fearing, beer drinking, deer hunting, ice fishing, regular folks that get sucked into this? God, I hate Statists.

Spend a few bucks to make a statement against Stupak tonight.
30 pieces of silver...I was going to say that! The inflationary cost of those 30 pieces of silver has risen thru’ the years.
Kick this bitch out and don't look back
$726,409 for the sacrifice of untold numbers of unborn babies. What kind of animal.....?...but, then, we already know
the answer to that!
“A Democrat is a Democrat, is a POS....”
Oh, I agree, but actually, they’re not really democrats, they’re outright communists and they’ve been planning for our demise long before odongo ever came to rule the roost. The Republic handed down to us by our forefathers has been overthrown in a bloodless coup in case you haven’t figured it out yet. They’ve taken over education, economy, military, media, our entire government etc. in a quiet, long-term effort. What we’re seeing now is the just the beginning fruits of their labor. However, I see people that were never before interested in what was going on starting to wake up. As they used to say in the 60’s: “the only good commie is a dead commie”.
Pork barrel spending run amok.

STUPAK ANNOUNCES $726,409 FOR AIRPORTS IN ALPENA, DELTA AND CHIPPEWA COUNTIES

Well done Stupunk.
Most Whore only hold out for a hundred dollars or so.
Not that I’d know about that!!!
But you apparently do Stupunk.
I’m less surprised that he sold his supposedly “pro-life” conscience than that his price was so cheap...... or maybe there are many more goodies in the works for his district.....
and announcing it this weekend??? just a wee bit crass on the quid-pro-quo, aren’t we, Mr. Stupak? Maybe he figures people would see right through his protestations anyway, so he may as well be “in your face” with look what I brought home for my district!
Stupak Priorities: preventing aborted takeoffs is more important than aborted....well, you know...
People in other districts and other states do NOT give a rats patootie about an airport in Alpena ... and those people can give money to and make calls for Stupak’s opponent.
This needs to become a given - these petty little people have gotten away with screwing the country as a whole as long as they kept the folks back home relatively happy - well those times need to be so over from now on.
As the elections draw nearer, I hope some group or groups gets organized specifically to defeat these people who screwed us today by providing us with info re the names, addresses etc. of the opponents of our enemies so we can vigorously support those opponents in districts all across the country.
Although we all hate Nancy and Barney, I don’t think we should waste a lot of time and money on bullet proof seats but we sure as hell can take their majority and hence their power away from them.
And for many of us in traditionally blue states that may be the only way we can neuter the liberalism of the reps our home states send to DC. As an older American, I feel that they are now personally threatening my health so I see this as war now - we need to act that way.
Stupak sure is a cheap whore...LOL
They bought him off for $726,409?? ha ha ha
The dems have turned this into a poverty riden, hand out, gimme state. The only area doing ok is Dearbornistan.

I take your point. There are still lots of people I think of as historic Democrats. Another term is “Yeller dog Democrats.”
That stems from the hard core Democrats who say “I’d rather vote for a yeller dog than vote for a Republican.” Those folks have been Democrats for generations and some of them may not even be interested in politics.
Of course the Marxists in control of the Party are committed to that transformation of America that the MSM failed to focus on when Obama said it. Those traitors do intend to replace freedom with a totalitarian form of government.
They just made a big step forward last night.I do think that a lot more people, Democrat, Republican or Independent, have finally realized what Obama intends to do. They don’t like it.
A few state AGs are filing suit against this filthy legislation. There will probably be a lot more of them. If the Supreme Court doesn’t kill this piece of garbage then we need to kick every elected Democrat to the curb in November. We have a good chance of doing that locally and it may happen nationally too.
