2 p.m.: The House will debate for one hour the rules of debate for the reconciliation bill and the Senate bill.
3 p.m.: The House will vote to end debate and vote on the rules of the debate.
3:15 p.m.: The House will debate the reconciliation package for two hours.
5:15 p.m.: The House will vote on the reconciliation package.
5:30 p.m.: The House will debate for 15 minutes on a Republican substitute and then vote on the substitute.
6 p.m.: The House will vote on the final reconciliation package.
6:15 p.m.: If the reconciliation bill passes, the House will immediately vote on the Senate bill, without debate.

I’m about out of words.
I hate to post what DrO told me the priest said at Mass. This morning, the priest’s homily was about forgiveness, judgement and not throwing stones. He said the Republicans should stop shouting at the democrats and try to work with them for the good of the country! He added that the democrats should try to work with the Republicans too for the good of the country, but didn’t include them in the shouting. I have never been to that parish. Now you all know why.

Exactly. I haven't felt so disconnected, not sure if that is the right word or not, in my life. All of this power to completely push our country over the tipping point is in the hands of less than 500 people, and they don't seem to be the least bit concerned about listening to the vast majority of the citizens that sent them there. It almost feels like we are living through the scenario of a sci-fi movie of some sorts -- the kind when you see that it is over you say to yourself: "wow, at least that is just a movie and not real, hopefully it would never really happen." Unfortunately for us, it isn't a movie, and it is happening before our eyes, and I can't help but feeling so powerless to do anything about it.... (sorry for the self pity here.)

I was told my Congressman that once healthcare is in place and the government knows what health conditions you have that they will start tracking your visa card purchases and if you have high cholesteral and purchase bacon you are going to get a nice fine from the IRS.

Well, I’ve got 2 words for the ‘Rats if they should somehow eke out the votes: Pyrrhic victory.
Sounds like a great plan for the day - our special intentions included praying for those people “..who fight to keep the planet clean and pure and green...” - I KNOW the people in front of me could hear my groan!
Regardless of the outcome, I will send as much $ as I can to the reelection opponents of anyone who voted for this. They are all traitors to freedom, and too mentally dense to be holding this kind of powerful office. If they cannot see what this health care vote is REALLY about, then they are not intellectually or morally fit for the positions they hold.

So, if we can't rely on our Church to lead our Souls to Heaven, then we shouldn't be going to THAT particular church at all. They are not doing the Will of God.

3/21/2010 - News: Rules Committee Reports “Supermax” Rule, Sends Government Takeover of Healthcare to Floor
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman David Dreier (R-San Dimas, CA), Rules Committee Ranking Republican, said the Democratic Majority has reported a highly restrictive rule that will send the Democratic Majority’s government takeover of healthcare to the House floor with just two hours of debate and a self-executed manager’s amendment.
This “Supermax” rule also gives the Speaker unprecedented powers to crack down on and prevent procedural and intervening motions.
During the hearing, the Committee Majority rejected key amendments to provide for an open debate process, require the Speaker to conduct a Call of the House upon final passage, and eliminate special deals like the Louisiana Purchase and special funding for a hospital in Connecticut, all by a vote of 9 to 4. The most open and transparent Congress evah! /s
I have to figure out with some professional attorney if I can file a lawsuit as a US citizen against the federal government for “ordering” me to buy health insurance. I have to do something. I cannot stand by and let these people do this to us. I don’t live in San Francisco for a reason, I am not a loon. And yes I know many wonderful, conservatives live in San Fran but the majority are loons. No loon is going to shove this crap of a bill up my a@@. I am so pissed.
