Sarah Palin Asking for Over $1 Million Per Episode for Reality Show.
New York Magazine ^ | March 19, 2010 | Josh Duboff

The project, which is tentatively titled Sarah Palin’s Alaska. Palin is asking for $1 million to $1.5 million per episode.

Sarah Palin is following a trajectory more Kardashian than politician, demanding a big paycheck in her quest for reality-TV stardom. After shopping her “TV docudrama” to major broadcast and cable networks, two channels — A&E and Discovery — have expressed interest in the project, which is tentatively titled Sarah Palin’s Alaska. Palin is asking for $1 million to $1.5 million per episode, considered a “hefty amount for a first-year cable series.” The show — executive-produced by reality-television guru Marc Burnett — will feature the former governor touring her home state, completing activities such as visiting fishing boats or trekking to a gold mine. There had better be a caribou-hunting episode or else this really has no business calling itself a Sarah Palin Alaska show.

She's asking for a salary of 1 to 1.5 million per show. The company will produce it.

It is clear that Sarah would be the producer and the $1 million is the per episode price.

You were saying ...

Right. That's why she's peddling it to 13th ranked cable networks.

I see you don't know how those repeats reach all Americans ... LOL ...

That’s what I understood too. So they are really buying the rights to carry the finished show.

You were saying ...

Anyone who doesn't genuflect towards Palin is a 'liberal-leftist'?

Anyone who uses the "liberal-leftie-anti-Palinista language" of "genuflecting to Palin" has indicated that their sentiments lie with the liberal element... :-)

You were saying ...

Yeah, but when it comes to 'no-brainer' who's more qualified than you?

The nice thing about a "no-brainer" is that everyone, including people who have no brains, can figure it out ... you know... like you... :-)

We give glory a lot to God when we see what Sarah can do with the talents God has given her. If she is diligent and does her homework, and if it is the Lord’s will, she would be a powerful contender in 2012. And when she starts cleaning up Obama’s mess, we’ll rise up and call her blessed.

And I pray that she’ll be able to do that with what Obama has done to us... “undo it” ...

You realize that Churchill was barely a C student yet became the greatest leader in British history? How could that be? Maybe cause his mother was American?

Pray for America

I personally hope our party can find better.

Better? She's the best candidate we've had since Reagan. She has what it takes. She is truly our new Reagan.

She would be the piece needed to deal a death blow to Bummercare, although the GOP could starve it from the House if they take over in 2010.

Some criticize her (she was a journalism major in college) for lack of erudite output. That’s always a nice thing to have on a resume, but wisdom of policy is far more important. The White House has no shortage of brainiacs in it now, but those brains are all twisted by Satan.

I live in gold area - the first white settlers here were gold miners. There is a distinct uptick in gold hunting around here - not so much with dredges and such, as that equipment is expensive and can’t be used everywhere. But for someone without steady income or a job (moi and DH) it is looking very intriguing... There are old mine tailings and small placer mines within biking distance.

I’d watch a show about gold mines (if I had a TV).

her legal defense fund had enough money to cover thos legal bills over a hear ago before it went into hyper secrecy (who knows how much is in it now but I’m guessing over a million)

The Alaska Fund is frozen. Pending an ethic complaint over the fund.

The Alaska state legislature is aware of the unique vulnerability facing their Governors to frivolous law suits and is attempting to remedy the situation.

Sarah was for all practical purposes forced out of office.

"... he has all those sophomoric ideas and ideals, and a narcissistic assurance that he has expert knowledge of all things -- "

That is the problem, he has a lot of ideas but very little knowledge. The President should not be a specialist, that is what advisors are for. He should have a strong overall knowledge of the areas in which he relies on the specialists for input. In short, a good leader is a generalist who surrounds himself with specialists. The idea that a leader needs to be a generalist is where the word General comes from in referring to the highest ranking officer.
