House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) today sent a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) requesting that the final health care votes be recorded by call of the roll so that every lawmaker is required to publicly announce their vote on the House floor.
This weekends votes will be among the most consequential votes we will ever cast as Members of Congress, Boehner says in the letter to Speaker Pelosi. As such, it is my belief that every Member should stand before the American people and announce his or her vote as the final decision is made.
According to the rules of the House of Representatives, Unless the Speaker directs otherwise, the Clerk shall conduct a record vote or quorum call by electronic device. The Speaker may direct the Clerk to conduct a record vote or quorum call by call of the roll. In such a case the Clerk shall call the names of Members, alphabetically by surname.
The full text of Leader Boehners letter to Speaker Pelosi follows.

PLEASE tell me we aren't about to be buried in Egypt!
I saw this posted on another site and thought it was really well written:
“Read it. You have less than 72 hours.
As the President says, when it passes he’ll know what’s in it.
COMMITTEE ON RULES - H.R. 4872 - Reconciliation Act of 2010
http://www.foxnews.com/projects/pdf/...nciliation.pdf
Don’t worry. It is only 2300+ pages.
Really? That alone should kill it.
Add in the fact that the anointed ones exempt themselves. That alone should kill it.
Add in the 16000 new IRS agents required to implement it. That alone should kill it.
Add in the 200,000 new regulations and 194 new government agencies and 20,000 more bureaucrats required. That alone should kill it.
Add in the immorality and unconstitutionality of mandating by government decree a purchase. That alone should kill it.
Add in the financial chicanery of double counting $500B in Medicare cuts, assumed Medicare savings (which haven’t happened in 40 years), a $250B doctor fix not counted in the preliminary estimate (since it is in a separate bill), and billions more that have to do with the student loans now part of the package, etc. The “Won’t cost ONE DIME. PERIOD” lie that now will cost at least 1 Trillion and probably $2T, $3T or more. That alone should kill it.
Add in that costs won’t go down. Nor will the price curve be bent down. That alone should kill it.
Add in that people used to justify pro-choice stands by stating a woman should have full control over her own body, but now everybody (except the Amish and Federal Employees) will have the government in control of their health. (No trans fats. No riding without a helmet, etc.) That alone should kill it.
Add in that a third of the doctors will leave the medical business and 30 million more patients will be added in: A recipe for rationing and extreme waiting times. That alone should kill it.
Add in that socialize medicine has failed or is failing everywhere: Canada, Massachusetts, Medicare. Canadian government officials currently come to the US for timely care. In the future we may have to go to Mexico of Asia. That alone should kill it.
Add in that we’ll pay 10 years of taxes to pay for only 4 years of coverage. That alone should kill it.
Add in the $5B bailout each for unions in Michigan and Massachusetts and special deals for Florida, Nebraska, Oregon longshoremen, pork pork pork. Oink. That alone should kill it.
Add in that it has to be ‘deemed’ to be passed instead of voted on. (Can we deem that our taxes are paid even if we didn’t really file? The President says have courage. This is a cowardly way to legislate. Let’s ‘deem’ them out of office.) That alone should kill it.
Enough.”
Should be faxed to every representative. They can rationalize their use of the Slaughter Solution all they want. They won’t be forgiven for any of this.
Egypt = "house of bondage"
Exodus 13:14 And it shall be when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What is this? that thou shalt say unto him, By strength of hand the LORD brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage:
Wow, in grabbing that quote for you I couldn't help but notice that it says "Exodus 1314". 1314 is the sum of the Hebrew for "United States".
Your right ...the pressure is on the dems that however they vote, or try and hide, the reps will find them out and it will be known!......oh this is good....the demos are at war between themselves and from the repubs. and from Bo...can you imagine the pressure cooker they are in! I pray God will cause the whole thing to explode! and self destruct!
Your prayer and mine as well.
“Roe v. Wade” was never a roll call vote or any congressional statute, b/c it refers to a court case..... in fact totally “UN” democratic (small ‘d’) since a few SCOTUS justices could decide to suddenly “discover” a constitutional “right” that not only had never existed before, but which had almost never even been suggested in nearly two centuries since no reasonable person could pretend to find it in the US Constitution with its amendments.
good point — and there are a variety of ways to make such ads on local, state, and national levels —— show Rs forcefully voting “Nay” while Ds are hiding under desks and chairs, unwilling to stand and be counted..... Ds as puppets of Pelosi, Reid, and Obama....... a “1984” type ad with dronish Democraps mindlessly following their “leader” until someone finally has “enough” (ala Apple’s famous 1984 SuperBowl ad).....
Ds quivering and quaking and saying in a timid whiny voice “Yay?” then diving for cover etc. etc. Ds hiding in the cloakroom, bathrooms, parking garages...... Ds lost incommunicado, unreachable to their constituents, staffers, and media contacts.....
there are loads of ways to mock the indefensible, all the Ds trying to force this ObamaCrap through while (for many) not wanting to be seen in support of it......
I’m sure creative media minds can come up with better versions —— heck, all we need is one or a few great “viral” videos that could be sent and re-sent to millions...... with the web and email no ad budget is needed if someone can come up with something humorous and powerful that people love to send and re-send..... I’ve never made a video but I may just have to try my hand at it....
maybe everyone on FR should try it and see what we all come up with...... from all the web geniuses here there will be some great “from the people, to the people” types of messages telling the Demagogues and MSM where to go.....
Nevertheless, our Deliverer will come.

I think it’s a safe bet SCOTUS Justices have read and understand the Constitution, right?
Here’s a part of the decision for you, all quoted from the SCOTUS decision. Pay particular attention to item #2:
1. Any provision of an act of Congress ostensibly enacted under power granted by the Constitution, not naturally and reasonably adapted to the effective exercise of such power but solely to the achievement of something plainly within the power reserved to the states, is invalid and cannot be enforced. P. 268 U. S. 17.
2. Direct control of medical practice in the states is obviously beyond the power of Congress. P. 268 U. S. 18.
3. Incidental regulation of such practice by Congress through a taxing act, like the Narcotic Law, cannot extend to matters plainly inappropriate and unnecessary to reasonable enforcement of a revenue measure. P. 268 U. S. 18.
U.S. Constitution, Article 1, Section 7, Clause 2:
"...the names of the persons voting for and against the bill shall be entered on the journal of each House respectively."
And Pelosi is refusing on what grounds?
These Deemocrats (sic) will do everything possible to hide from the light.
That why they are putting up with this camoflage.
Yes Publicity is very important in that political crucial fight for US society!
The GOP last but not least should take the american people ,the nation,as witness for what’s happening in WASHINGTON.Tricks and bribes for an ideological scarry agenda.
The GOP apparatchik should ,at last, speak LOUD and CLEAR and highlight the CHICAGO style political behaviour of Pelosi-Reid-Obama to reach their goals and own USA
Good for John Boehner, good idea.
Boehner should also make them read the whole 2000+ pages of the bill before they vote.
What is the “doctor fix” that I’ve heard mentioned a few times?
......It is only 2300+ pages.....
Actually, only about 150 or maybe 180 pages are the reconciliation. I can’t remember the exact number. I have both 153 and 183 in my mind. The balance of say 2150 are the bill passed by the Senate and on record for some time now.
The 150 pages are changes to the other 2,000+ pages.
On Cavuto the speed reader read the entire package agin including the new 150 pages and had serious problems understanding because the changes referred back to multiple paragraphs in the original by paragraph and section designation only. It was impossible to sort back through the original too find the reference that in turn referred to something elsewhere in the original bill.
Just what ARE the likes of McCain, Romney et al. doing as the Dems push through ObamaCare?
They're worse than nothing.
You are correct. I can’t pin that one on Congress.
Luckily, we’ll have a few more Liberal judges on the SC by the time 0bama is done with us. They can work on finishing us off early as we come to the end of our lives; not just snuffing us out in beginning.
