Bret's special Report The Special Panel said the bill will pass the House.
Yes, the original Senate bill becomes law and it is a travesty. I hope that by some miracle that should the bill pass the House, the entire process breaks down between the chambers between now and November.
This entire nightmare would never be happening without the direct complicity of the MSM - his f—king cheerleaders.
Idaho and Virginia, too, IIRC.
Any pronouncment about the outcome just cannot be trusted.
I agree with you.
We will not forget the Democrats tried to use the Slaughter Rule, and they will pay for it. Their vote today against the motion to reject use of that rule was enlightening. Obviously a great percentage of the Democrats are no longer able, if they ever were, to deal with popular democracy.
If, H.R. 4872 dies in the Senate, H.R. 3590 will still be a law.
My personal opinion is if one the House gets their Reconciliation Bill passed, the Senate will capitulate.

This was always going to pass. They would never have called a vote if it wasn’t going to. Santorum told Greta that a couple of nights ago. He said Pelosi was going to go if it was down to 2 or 3, which is what the real number has been all along. It will be close, but it will pass. The passing of the Slaughter Rule today told us all we needed to know.
Since they’re writing the history books and already control education, the one who casts the deciding vote will be hailed a hero who single handedly ended the unfair health care the awful republicans had rammed down America’s throat.
I do to. And, he's dour because there's much to be dour about. Plus, he's a realist - a trained scientist, and not a political hack. He calls it the way he sees it, and isn't in the business of blowing sunshine up people's behind. I appreciate that.
They could. But they won’t. Too many skeletons in the closets and too many FBI files.
My point is that ANY dynamic in ANY undecided district can alter the vote. The panel simply cannot know all the dynamics and tactics being employed in all these districts over the next couple of days.
Don’t seriously think about it...JUST DO IT!
Tell it to Benedict Arnold :)
That's right.
5th state exempts guns. Is Washington noticing?
Virginia Lawmakers Say "No" To Health Care Reform (First in the Nation)
Idaho first to sign law against health care reform
It's time to beat the living crap out of Uncle Sam. Make U.S. Senators, Congressmen and the President nearly impotent as they should have been all along.
Hey, Mara! Bribery of congresscritters with our hard earned tax money pisses us off.
In that case, perhaps we can think of another purpose for going.
I’m done worrying. The pieces are beginning to fall one way or the other since the CBO score. In the end all we can do is wait. If it does pass, it is not the end, but rather the beginning of a whole new phase - court challenges.
Beats me too. I am getting confused as to how many bills are out there. This is my understanding. I’m sure FReepers will chime in if I’m wrong.
I think the one uploaded today is the one Reid had in that backroom where no one could see it. It modifies the one the House approved.
The other version would be the same bill but without the Senate changes.
So if the House deems (how I have come to HATE that word) the one without Senate editing to pass, it goes to Obama for the mark of the beast.
If they vote on the one with Senate changes, it has to go to a conference committee for approval and then to a Senate vote. I think is the ‘shell game’ Paul Ryan warned about, where they could take the poisonous filling out and replace it with another pile of equally toxic sludge.
Am I anywhere near accurate?
