Nye and Dahlkemper are critical.
If this monstrosity passes, November will be a Democratic bloodbath.

I wonder how the 'Rats'll decide which Rep will cast the vote that gives them the 216?
Note to the sucker who casts it: Your name will live in infamy.

"The Slaughter Rule is out. This was nothing more than a trial balloon. Its too risky. I say they dont use it." I say that they have no choice about the so-called slaughter solution. It's BigLabor pushing this, as well as the Hispanic caucus. Both lobbies want to put pressure on the Senate, because the Senate bill is untenable for their respective membership.
They'll use Slaughter, and if it passes, the Senate Reconciliation bill will pass the Senate, easily.

Every congress criter who loses the election will be well taken care of. Obama will have to take care of them or they’ll squeal like pigs. Plus, they’re set for life anyway. This bill won’t apply to them or their descendents.

It will pass. You would think that our guys could have bought 4 or 5 dems who last time voted yes... bought them and told them to keep quiet and just vote no. I mean the republican party has a lot of money. Surely we can buy some votes.

I still think God hasnt had his say yet, though...miracles do happen.
An Affront to the Graciousness of God
... God is present, and from his presence streams all grace, all loveliness, all joy. Paul draws a very practical conclusion from this: Nothing must make you anxious (Phil 4:6). Were God absent, had God not yet come in His Christ and in the gift of His Holy Spirit, we would have reason to worry, reason for anxiety, and for fear. Worry and anxiety are an affront to the graciousness of God, a denial of His nearness to us, a turning from Him who has turned His Face towards us. Self-indulgence in fretting and anxiety is a sin that does not often appear on the radar screen of our consciences, and so it is a sin that, more often than not, goes unconfessed.
A thousand reasons not to follow the Apostles mandate come to mind. It is easy to listen to the voices of our fears, our insecurities, our need to arrange, rearrange, and attempt to control even things beyond our control. The Apostle says, Have no anxiety about anything, but we hold ourselves excused, saying, Is not a little anxiety, just a little bit of worry reasonable and right? Saint Paul is not moved by our rationalizations. Nothing must make you anxious (Phil 4:6).

"However, defeat will weaken Zero and perhaps this congress may not want that, but they would be throwing themselves on the sacrificial altar." They could save their asses by switching to the Republican Party. That's their only hope.

I respect Krauthammer’s opinion - despite the gloominess.
I tend to believe him on this one, too.
It’s all by hook and crook. The dims got too much invested in it. Obama & his fiends arent gonna allow a loss.

“The panel up there in DC doesn’t have a finger on the pulse of every dynamic in the country.”
Eh, the congress doesn’t either. The panel has their finger on the pulse of Congress, which is all that matters right now.
President’s rarely if ever lose a vote like this. This is the big one for Obama this term, the Democratic Party and leftist lobby groups won’t allow him to lose it.
The panel knows Pelosi can find the votes, and she will.

Me, too. The house is making changes. I thought they had to accept the senate bill “as is”. I guess it just doesn’t matter anymore. Sad times in America.

The Slaughter rule does two things simultaneously:
1) Sends Senate bill to Obama for signature into law
2) Sends reconciliation bill to Senate for its passage
Obama must sign the Senate bill into law before the Senate can pass the House reconciliation bill, which would then go to Obama to sign into law.

Yes.
That's why the House Dem's are so skittish...they don't trust the Senate to actually take up their amended bill, in which case, the original Senate bill, signed by the Senate and the President, and "deemed" by the House, becomes the new law of the land.
