Obama Not Worried About “Procedural Rules” like “Deem and Pass” for Health Care
ABC News via Drudge Report ^ | 3/17/2010 | Sunlen Miller and Karen Travers

President Obama said today that he is not too worried about the controversial “deem and pass” strategy being considered on Capitol Hill, and that members should not “pretend” that a vote, in whatever form it ends up taking, is anything other than a vote for or against reform.

"I don't spend a lot of time worrying about what the procedural rules are in the House or Senate," Obama said in an interview with Fox News' Bret Baier, "What I can tell you is that the vote that's taken in the House will be a vote for health care reform. And if people vote yes, whatever form that takes, that is going to be a vote for health care reform. And I don't think we should pretend otherwise.”

The president said those that vote against reform will be voting for the status quo, regardless of the procedural tactics used.

“Washington gets very concerned with these procedures in Congress, this is always an issue whether Republicans are in charge or Democrats are in charge.”

Nudging Congress a bit – the president said that whatever they end up voting for he hopes it’s going to be “sometime this week.”

Of course he isn’t concerned. It’s all about ends, not means.

The problem here is much bigger than socialized medicine. A year ago congress was bailing out the banking industry to the tune of $1 trillion. Then it was bailing out the auto industry. This week it’s socialized medicine. Next week it’ll be cap and tax. This an addiction to power and spending fueled by ever increasing debt. The demand isn’t going to abate until there is simply no more money to be spent.

No junkie comes clean unless he/she has to. We need to start looking at supply side solutions. We need to cut the supply of money. The irony here is that conservatives are enabling the socialism.

Conservative pay the taxes, in many cases more than necessary, to enable this. Why does any conservative choose to hold taxable investments if they have tax free or tax deferred alternatives?

Own savings bonds? T-bills? GNMAs? Are they the underlying investment in your money market account or 401(k)? If the answer is yes, then you’re subsidizing this just as surely as if you had scratched a check.

But what about the national debt? The ability to fund all this is tied to the ability to borrow. What if conservatives simply pushed for a polcy of repudiating the national debt, or more specifically that portion entered into since January 2009? Therein lies a game changing strategy.

muslims never make good presidents
I knew from the beginning he was muslim but 53% were dumb azzes. In the interview with Bret we could see a scar on the left side of his head. It goes all the way across like he’s had brain surgery, or something.

Yes, what is that scar? I’ve noticed it before. If he had an accident, it was a pretty serious one. This might account for his strange, jerky and unfluent way of speaking, which has always sounded to me like that of someone who has had some kind of brain damage.

What’s a procedural rule or two when you’re wiping your butt with the Constitution?

What does deem mean??

It means that Peter Pan in the White House waves his magic wand and the bill is law. No need anymore for those constitutional speed bumps like actually voting.

Don’t let them control the language.

“Procedural” is their term for “Constitutional.”

obammie the commie doesn’t care about “Constitutional” limitations and requirements.

What, it’s legal because the untouchables say so? Okay, it’s plain that they make up the rules as they need to, so he may be correct in a loose sense of the word. But is it constitutional? I would say no.
