Specter Opens Door on White House Felonies
By Jeffrey Lord on 3.16.10 @ 6:09AM
"There's a crime called misprision of a felony. Misprision of a felony is when you don't report a crime. So you're getting into pretty deep areas here in these considerations." -- U.S. Senator Arlen Specter on March 12, 2010
"Right now, they're doing the 'I won't confirm or deny,' and for us, it leaves two possibilities. One is the promise of transparency in this administration is just shot. The second one is even worse, which is either Sestak is lying or the administration has done something wrong and is covering it up " -- U.S. Congressman Darrell Issa on Friday on March 12, 2010
"The 'stonewall strategy' functioned from the very first episodes of the cover-up. It was instinctive, from the very top of the Administration to the bottom. It was also ad hoc, developed in small reactions to the flurry of each day's events we found ourselves trying to hold a line where we could." -- Nixon White House Counsel John Dean in his Watergate book Blind Ambition
Here we go again.
Even as the drama of health care carries the headlines, beneath the surface, visible now, the iceberg of scandal ripples.
First, the timeline on the blossoming scandal upon which we will now officially fix the dreaded "gate" descriptive. Jobsgate.

“There’s a crime called misprision of a felony. Misprision of a felony is when you don’t report a crime. So you’re getting into pretty deep areas here in these considerations.” — U.S. Senator Arlen Specter on March 12, 2010
Is this taken out of context?? was he talking about Republicans???
Or was he talking about the sestak scandal?
According to the article, he’s referring to Sestak.
Thanks!
Well, when he was a Republican, Arlen never cooperated with Republicans. So, old habits die hard. Now he’s not cooperating with the Democrats.
Or maybe he just wants some kind of payoff. Like real backing from the Democrats.
Or maybe he doesn’t want to take the blame for dumping Sestak from the primary. Who had more to gain from that than Arlen? So maybe this is just a big headfake.
Arlen can’t be trusted. In my view, he is a man of low character. It would appear he’s behaving like your average liberals; he’ll turn on anyone, and do what ever it takes in or to be reelected. Arlen will also make necessary compromises in order to make a power grab.
This calls for a Special Prosecutor for obvious reasons. An investigation would be almost guaranteed to produce one or more perjury prosecutions.
Yes, I believe Specter is making a power play here. He has lost all support from the conservative base. He wants to be reelected, and by leveling these serious accusations, I believe Specters thinks we’ll see him as one whose going against the Obama administration.
With all that’s happening with ObamaCare, and the presidents dropping popularity, Specter, in my view, is trying to give us the impression that he’s not one of “them”.
It’s too late. Despite this fact, I do not doubt some of Specter’s accusations.
I guess the poster of this thread didn't do a search.Specter Opens Door on White House Felonies(Can this be what brings down Zer0 and his pals?)

I don’t know how to post this thread on Breaking News.
US Department of Justice has a special unit in their Criminal Division called the
PUBLIC INTEGRITY SECTION
http://www.justice.gov/criminal/pin/
The Public Integrity Section oversees the federal effort to combat corruption through the prosecution of elected and appointed public officials at all levels of government. The Section has exclusive jurisdiction over allegations of criminal misconduct on the part of federal judges and also monitors the investigation and prosecution of election and conflict of interest crimes. Section attorneys prosecute selected cases against federal, state, and local officials, and are available as a source of advice and expertise to other prosecutors and investigators. Since 1978, the section has supervised the administration of the Independent Counsel provisions of the Ethics in Government Act.
The current acting head is Raymond Hulser raymond.hulser@usdoj.gov
But what does Scots Law say?
(Someone had to say it-—ducking now)
See post 9
I saw it. I did not see it before. My eyes aren’t what they used to be ;-)
You’re correct. I did not type a search. I posted in haste, and yet, I hope this news (for those who haven’t read the threat) draws more attention to the issue.
I agree.
Arlen blundered badly on this one. Did he actually think he could accuse Sestak of misprision of a felony, without raising questions about the underlying felony? LOL. What a doofus.
On the other hand, it’s the first useful thing—albeit, inadvertant—he’s done in his whole career.
“On the other hand, its the first useful thingalbeit, inadvertanthes done in his whole career.”
Absolutely correct.
Is Specter dredging up some dusty integrity . . .
or
is he being yet again the dutiful globalist stooge . . . and they have decided to flush OThuga in the not too distant future?
Both
More than a little plausible.
What are your predictions about it all in the next 4 months?
