"There's a crime called misprision of a felony. Misprision of a felony is when you don't report a crime. So you're getting into pretty deep areas here in these considerations." -- U.S. Senator Arlen Specter on March 12, 2010
"Right now, they're doing the 'I won't confirm or deny,' and for us, it leaves two possibilities. One is the promise of transparency in this administration is just shot. The second one is even worse, which is either Sestak is lying or the administration has done something wrong and is covering it up " -- U.S. Congressman Darryl Issa on Friday on March 12, 2010
"The 'stonewall strategy' functioned from the very first episodes of the cover-up. It was instinctive, from the very top of the Administration to the bottom. It was also ad hoc, developed in small reactions to the flurry of each day's events we found ourselves trying to hold a line where we could." -- Nixon White House Counsel John Dean in his Watergate book Blind Ambition
Here we go again.
Even as the drama of health care carries the headlines, beneath the surface, visible now, the iceberg of scandal ripples.
First, the timeline on the blossoming scandal upon which we will now officially fix the dreaded "gate" descriptive. Jobsgate.

You're right.
" With a senior Democratic United States Senator, a former chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, now ever so not delicately suggesting the players in this drama could all go to jail, it would seem that perhaps Mr. Messina and his Chicago buddies in the White House have fixed things for President Obama in a fashion that was unimaginable on inauguration day in January of 2009."
Unimaginable? Call me cynical, but I am SO not surprised.
The case is analogous to going after Clinton for impeaching himself over Monica instead of hanging him for ChinaGate. Yes, what the O-bot did is a felony. I know this won't be popular, but IMO, it is not an impeachable offense. It just happens to be a clear case by which to play "gotcha." It is bad politics to pursue it beyond planting his corrupt venality firmly in the public mind as a given. Go too far with this and it will backfire politically.
Zero is doing far worse to this country for which he richly deserves to be removed. This isn't it.
Major, if you’re lurking, “Watch your six.”
.....Fox has since tempered their criticism of the one......
To make that statement, you discount the daily words of Charles Krauthammer and Glen Beck. your statement is not really true.
Fox has invigorated the attack
Here’s a very interesting post on the subject from Hillbuzz blog, Sunday:
(If you’re not familiar with Hillbuzz, it’s written by some gay men, Hillary supporters, in Chicago. They have complete disdain for “Dr. Utopia” and his White House. They’re connected in Chicago and generally make for interesting, although colorful, reading.)
I have only one question. Where is Admiral Sestak’s honor in all of this? He makes the charge but then refuses to say who offered him the job. Where is your honor, Admiral? Is this the courage or lack of courage we should expect from a former naval officer?
You really want an answer to that question?
Just visualize the cartoon with a sign saying “Beware of Dog!”
The picture shows a length of chain laying on the ground attached to the collar of a dog’s skeleton.
The dead guard dog is and has been the Republican party for a very long time.
“when the white house tore up contract law at GM and rewarded their buddies, they committed a crime already”
Right. Which crimes should we focus on? How about the Slaughter shredding of the USC this week as well, among many others during the campaign (illegal campaign monies, etc. etc.)
“Come on media..... do your job.”
We’ve implored them for 40 years in this way. Hasn’t worked yet. They are RAT water carrying basTURDS.
How bout’ we call it Sestack gate?
We have a case for you.
“Felonies didnt bring down the last Dem administration. Why should this time be any different?”
At least we can spay and neuter them...
Depends on who WANTS to bring the O down. It’s not what was done, it’s what ends are desired and what means facilitate getting there. If enough of his own party wants him out - say, because there is no viable endgame for this healthcare debacle - they’ll use whatever means to that end.
Gibbs and the WH: YOU LIE! Read this article and see how Gibbs is hemming and hawing 4 ways til Sunday to AVOID answering this...they are guilty as sin.

POST OF THE YEAR!
The betting man in me has to go with the latter, rather than the former!
To anyone who believes THIS will go anywhere, I have a bridge for sale here in Northern California.
