This battle? If they win by fiat, they lose ten times more and the legislation gets knocked down by 2013. People will be out in taxes and lost jobs, but healthcare will likely limp along without any significant change.

Yes, the Democrats may suffer historic electoral losses this November if they ram Obamacare through, but once it's indeed passed into law, it will do (possible) irreparable harm to our economy and to our health care system in general.

I have no doubt that the next congress can do some things to clip the wings of Obamacare, and mitigate the potential damage to the country, but between now and November, there's no telling what other republic-breaking measures they'll also pass.

Frankly, I'm not really sure what the response will be if Obamacare passes. It might well be the thing that finally sparks a real uprising in America. Perhaps passage of Obamacare will just cause the Tea Parties to multiply and amplify. It's really anyone's guess.

One thing's certain, and that is, Obama, Pelosi, and Reid are pushing millions of American citizens to the breaking point. I don't believe they're smart enough to know when to ease off. They'll push right past the breaking point without the slightest notice.

“From listening to people talk in stores, restaurants and other places, I have the feeling that it won’t be long and there will be a repeat of the 1770’s”

I believe you are more right than you even know. For most of my adult life very very few people could keep up with me when the talk turned to politics. They simply didn't have enough knowledge or understanding to argue. Many times I sensed I could sort them out even if I were wrong about the the matter under discussion.

The other day (and not for the first time in recent months) two of the usual regular guys but political ignoramuses turn the talk to current political events AND THEY ARE SHOCKINGLY WELL VERSED IN MANY OF THE STATS AND INSIGHTS THAT FREEPERS TEND TO HAVE COMMAND OF. They're reeling off constitutional arguments and insights that would have glazed their eyes two years ago. They have in their heads reams of stats on the tax rates/laws etc, porkulus etc. I was reduced to saying “yep” and “that's about it” and “I agree”. It was kinda’ nice and extremely surprising. And oh yeah, I noticed a god portion of these types are self employed.

People are waking up when I, a long time pontificator and bloviator and general rabid fumer am reduced to monosyllabls..

Constitutional attorney Mark R. Levin: U.S Constitution, Article I, Section VII, Clause II... goes to the heart of this Republic. This clause goes to the heart of how our representative body, that is Congress, makes laws. And so I want you to [observe] how particular the Framers were... They have to pass a Bill to present it to the President... This is one of the most exacting clauses in the Constitution. And, to the best of my knowledge, which extends over three decades, no Congress has previously tried to institute policies without actual statutes. Here we have the President of the United States and Congressional leaders actually talking about the possibility of a brazen and open violation of one of the most fundamental aspects of our Constitution and Republic! ...If this is done, this will create the greatest Constitutional crisis since the Civil War. It would be 100 times worse than Watergate... It would be government by fiat... meaning there would be no law... the mere discussion by officials in this government is such a grotesque violation of the actual legislative function of Congress [that it] puts us... at the brink. At the brink... This is a crucial lesson for those of you who... aren't sure what your beliefs are, or if you have any beliefs. Or aren't sure if you even care. We have an effort underway by the one of the most powerful chairmen in Congress, the woman who heads the Rules Committee, ...openly discussing gutting Congress. Gutting Congress.
The difference between the Constitution and those who want to gut it is, the Constitution will outlive them. Thanks BarnacleCenturion.

“... once it’s indeed passed into law, it will do (possible) irreparable harm to our economy and to our health care system in general. ...”

The “benefits” don’t take affect until years later. That gives us time.

“... between now and November, there’s no telling what other republic-breaking measures they’ll also pass. ...”

Momentum against them is snowballing, and election pressures are already beginning to kick in.

“It’s really anyone’s guess.”

We have them in a stranglehold right now. Added tyranny will make it worse for them. So it would be difficult to see them squirming free now, no matter how some on our side might behave.

“One thing’s certain, and that is, Obama, Pelosi, and Reid are pushing millions of American citizens to the breaking point. I don’t believe they’re smart enough to know when to ease off.”

I agree. The Roman senate was the same way.

I would hate to be a congressman after going along with this brazen violation of law and contempt for our constitution. I would get a body guard.

You know, I hope that they go for this because there will be an injunction on a federal judge’s desk before the ink is dry on the bill. I am confident that there are very, very few judges who would even attempt to declare that this tactic comes anywhere close to meeting constitutional muster.

This is all kind of academic. A few months ago it was bailing out the banking industry to the tune of $1 trillion. Then it was bailing out the auto industry. This week it’s socialized medicine. Next week it’ll be cap and tax. This an addiction to spending fueled by ever increasing debt. The demand isn’t going to abate until there is no more to be spent.

Demand based solutions aren’t going to work. No junkie comes clean unless he/she has to. We need to start looking at supply side solutions. We need to cut their supply of money. The irony here is that conservatives are enabling this.

Own savings bonds? T-bills? GNMAs? Are they the underlying investment in your money market account or 401(k)? If the answer is yes, then you’re subsidizing this just as surely as if you had scratched a check.

Sor0bama/Pelosi/Reid Democrat Hellcare—leads to => Regulations that permit the government to “REMOVE YOUR BODY PARTS and/or ORGANS” per Cass Sunstein, even without your permission—leads to => Kerry/Graham Sor0bama’s RealID chip, so everyone knows everything about your all the time (It’s even called sCHIP, for the children, anyway).

Call it what it is. People are not people before 2 or after 40, or, maybe 50, so, you’ll be dead before it kicks in: The Democrat Solution.

And, if Sor0bama/Pelosi/Reid/Emmanuel/Axelrod can get at the money the people OVER 50, and especially over 60 have acquired throughout their lifetimes, suddenly, the country will be on easy street, comparatively speaking.

Before that, however, there must be ‘change.’ You know, struggle.

And struggle is Jihad.

“Maher Hathout, author of ‘Jihad vs. Terrorism,’ believed there was a twofold need to set the record straight about jihad. “Number one was the discovery that everyone is defining us except us, everyone is explaining jihad except for Muslims,” he said. “Second, I noticed that some Muslims needed to brush up, to review the issue on their own for clarity and understanding of their own religion. This is why I made the book very textual. I tried to use verses from the Koran, from the Prophet… It includes personal opinion of course, but the backbone is textual.”

Hathout concluded that jihad, as projected in the Koran, is not a single concept.

“It’s a range of activities all based on the Arabic meaning of the word ‘exerted effort.’”

This is how a REAL dictatorship begins... Makes one wonder if they’ll even be a Presidential election in 2012

It does make one wonder how many people are truly awake to this possibility.

Did a real dictatorship begin in 2003?

Because that's the year Republicans used the so-called Slaughter Solution, known more commonly as the self-executing rule, to adopt a bill involving over $1 trillion dollars.

Here's the link.

Ain't nothing new in Washington.

I'm pointing out past Republican use of the Slaughter solution so people will de-stress a little bit. Be angry about Obamacare, but don't let the pundits screw with your head!

This explains why Obama/Holder stopped the ACORN investigation prior to the Slaughter Solution tactic.. Freeing-up ACORN is the green light that ensures Obama’s re-election no matter how many unconstitutional tactics they employ.

That and freing up funds for ACORN, even oveerturning a Congressional vote with a Judicial decision, has had to have some effect on firearm and ammunition sales out there, on both sides of the line.

His "private security force".

If they pull this off what’s to stop them from ramming every piece of their twisted marxist agenda! They can then suspend the constitution and rule for life!

They can not supend the physics of ballistics.

The only thing the Slaughter Solution does is “hide” who voted for this. It doesnt hide anything.

Anyone who votes for the Slaughter rule has no purpose to do so other than to enact Obamacare. To do so is not only a presumed vote for Obamacare, but an affront to the Constitution and every Citizen of this Republic.

We all need to tell them that.
